The people who round up the cats (AVA) uses a cost-saving way to "terminate" the cats. Death through electrocution. A bunch of cats are placed in an area with the water no more than a feet high. A live wire is inserted in for a min.
Not much different from Hitler who rounded up the Jews and gassed them.

Control, all unwanted animals are euthanised humanely according to
internationally acceptable method. Unwanted animals are put down using
barbiturate injections.

animals.

Hmm. Strange, the uncle who feeds the cats in Pasir Ris, is a member of the Cat Welfare Society in my neighborhood begs to differ.
He is called down whenever there is a mass termination of cats to see if any of them are under his care and was caught accidentally.

when i restring my floyd equiped guitar..i do it on the floor..my cat comes..and plays with the strings..when i get back from the kitchen..she's sitting comfortably ON the guitar.

i think the animals are usually conditioned by humans. in fact, their problems are caused by humans.

there are some people in my neighborhood who love feeding stray cats. but the funny thing is, they dont do it near their own house! they would travel down the road and plant the food near somebody else's house.

guess what happens? the cat population there increases to a nuisance level.

these people claim to be cat lovers...

we must be responsible not only to animals but also fellow human beings.

mattleesc, can you claim otherwise?

i agree with james..an over population of cats, or anything for tat matter, can't be good. in my neighbourhood, they climb on the roofs, make scratching noises at night, fight on the streets and wake everyone up. they even tear open thrash bags left outside homes and the rubbish gets everywhere. i've seen these things with my own eyes. for stray dogs..none in my neighbourhood so far..only cats..

in my neighbourhood, a very kind gentleman (unknown) rounds up cats and goes to a doctor to spay it.

last time there was quite a number of cats but most of them are rounded up by AVA.. but those who was "rescued" or "spayed" and have their ears cut off, the AVA let them and there's currently a few in my block...

another neighbourhood, a good friend of mine, his mom is a cat lover and also did the same thing. Cats with EARS CUT on top abit means the cat has been spayed and so it will not breed. so the AVA will let it go...

My friend mother also forked out almost to a thousand of dollars when a cat was brutally beaten up by some fucktard guy and treated it to the hospital till he's partially cured.. so now the cat's half retarded and is really a pity that sick and inhumane people still exist among our community...

last time my block had a case where a cat was beaten up till death.. the people who did it got away unfortunately...

so to ava, why u wanna kill 3 innocent spayed cat??? it's spayed so it won't breed...PFFFT
