Dear Mr Woo
Thank you for your email.
2 We would like to assure that at our Centre for Animal Welfare and
Control, all unwanted animals are euthanised humanely according to
internationally acceptable method. Unwanted animals are put down using
barbiturate injections.
3 We would appreciate it if you could clarify this in your forum so as
to clear any misconception some people may have on how AVA euthanises
animals.
4 We thank you for this opportunity to clarify the method of euthanasia
used by the AVA.
Yours sincerely,
Ong Kee Seng

Subject [Feedback] cats killed through electrocution
Dear Sir/Mdm,
There is a feedback from User
Name : James Woo
Email Address :
info@soft.com.sg
Category : Animal control & welfare; dog licence; pet shops & animal exhibition
Subject : cats killed through electrocution
Feedback : Hi there I have a user who posted the follow message in
my forum. Could you clarify if it is true? Thanks. The
people who round up the cats (AVA) uses a cost-saving
way to "terminate" the cats. Death through
electrocution. A bunch of cats are placed in an area
with the water no more than a feet high. A live wire is
inserted in for a min.
