kinda almost a year late one posting this one as i got it april '09. it is my only electric at the moment as it has staunched all gas for me. at most id get another one as backup but i dont think thats necessary with this one. also im heading to aust in feb and will bring this along with me to see how it tolerates the weather over there. basswood with maple top. ssv and ssv+ pickups. gotoh floyd. 1 piece maple neck.

mahogany body + maple cap, mahogany neck + pau ferro board
and Aldrich pick ups.

its on gauge 12 now.

nice, wah 12s, ure the real man dude. im on 10s, perfectly slinky and stays in tune forever. hows the aldrich sets? havent heard one in person but went with the ssv and ssv+ due hearing a lil sizzle on the youtube clips of the aldrichs.

They have quite a bit of sizzle and presence.

how are the ssv and ssv+ ?

I'm thinking of replacing the aldrich with something more paf-ish.

oh the ssv and ssv+ are absolutely amazing. i had a previous suhr strat with v60lp and was kinda hesitant to change to humbuckers as i was worried it might be too hot. but that wasnt the case. the neck sounds really amazing, nice and round without the spike. bridge is all kinds of rock and on split sounds as close to a strat postion 2/4 as ive ever heard a humbucker produce. and theres no shortage of harmonics either. highly recommended. the pickups are also very responsive to the use of volume and tone. as of yet suhr has not disappointed. the ssv and ssv+ are definitely more down the paf lane if thats what you're looking for.

i didn't wanna take a picture of my S2 last year, but since i've gotten the amp over the citymusic sale, i guess i can update this 2010 thread as well. You guys have wonderful suhrs i'm absolutely pleased with mine, FLs in neck and mid, SSV in bridge. i have yet to discover more things about the SSV, but the FL's are great! The guitar's fiesta red, which isn't available usually. in fact i may be the only owner of a fiesta red S2, (know there are a few leftys of these lying around the net though) The price was great too, really thankful for that!

I highly recommend the zoomH2 for EVERY MUSICIAN. Its the best purchase i made in 09, period. And i know it will go a long way.

to the previous guys: what are the frets on your axes? Jumbo SS? Any opinions about those SS frets?
