not worth it to get a 240V mesa. u end up paying close to 2 times more.
will definitely change it to 240V.
So how much damage did that mark v do to your wallet?

not if you know where to look....haha nvm thats besides the point.
You'll need to contact mesa directly for an original transformer (i dont recommend changing to sth else as the tone will also change, so bad idea if you like the original tone)...and from some techs i've heard, they'r not exactly a bunch of very helpful folks. Be prepared to wait and get damaged even more.

If im not wrong, tone changes only when you change the output transformer. For power transformers, the change in sound would not be that noticable, if any at all.

There actually is..... especially if you'r using a step down transformer.....may not be a big difference sound wise but in feel and dynamics.

^ Thanks! I can't comment on the 616 specifically, but I have a E300B and it's sweet! I heard about some problems with reliability or something (ask j_m_s, he's probably more educated on the subject), but I'm sure Josh has rectified it by now.

The early batches of 616s had defect. The 616 that PGS used to demo also had that defect. Caused a huge stir. I did not keep track of that situation and what the defect actually was. But I'm sure the new ones are fixed.
Many people have been complaining about the buffer, and the repeats being very very distorted. Or something.

I found myself suddenly very enthusiastic to clean up my guitar room.
