Not bad..its just that I found the neck quite thin as I was used to my Allparts neck on my Strat, but it had jumbo frets which made it easier to bend strings. U can ask fgl for his opinion too, since I sold the neck to him

tHE QUALITY WAS OK KO ... THE JUMBO FRETS WERE MORE LIKE 6100 RATHER THAN THE 6105 WHICH I PREFER.

tHE WIDTH IS SLIGHTLY SLIMMER - TOO SMALL FOR MY HANDS

I TRADED BOTH THE NECK & BODY TO MAT BOND FOR A 1995 SQUIER STRAT

cant stand poly finish, satin or nitro would be nice?
i got a little carried away while trying to de-lacquerise...
any suggestions? should i go all the way? vintage full maple neck? :???:

best way to remove poly is to use a heat gun, and heat the poly paint and after a while you can scrape it of with a scraper cos it softens...however it still takes a long time to do so and you might also gouge the wood so must be careful..

surprisingly this body paint is easy to remove maybe because it is newly painted? or maybe it got just 1 layer of paint & thin shiny lacquer?
unlike some of older bodies which we have came across where its finish has really set in & hardened which can be really difficult to work with...

anyway manage to get rid of the surface with light hand sanding
i think it is just nice.. now it feels much much better without the shiny lacquer
what step do i take now to protect & maintain the satin silk feel? buffer? rub compound? matte lacquer?

me too, asked around paint stores here no have nitro..
what kind of spray gun you guys using? airbrush? compressor?

i prefer the retro decals & woody guards but groove is ex.. frm canada?
been wanting to carve out myy own guard but no inspiration yet.. plastic for now

i think all posted articles goes through singpost / customs? because of this clause.
what about fedex / ups? would it be possible to ship through them?
