well here's my worn-to-the-wood relic strat that i put together in a record 10 days. lace pups on neck and middle, epiphone bridge. coupled with a gotoh wilkinson trem and tuners with a graphtech nut, it sustains good...

and yes, it has 2 vol and 1 tone knobs.
just so that i can have the killswitch effect without having to install one.

Interesting, that ace remind me of mickey rourke's chrome tank in harley davidson & marlboro man.. hehe
Wilkinson trem bought locally? What is that extra long screw doing there? the headstock design from which neck maker?

:)

yeah, the trem i got it at zen. the "screw" is actually the intonation adjuster. i just kept it there so that i won't lose it. and yes. fgl's right. the neck is from a TGM. it's most probably temporary until i find the time to save up to buy a better one.

Ya a good set of neck & body is very worth it ie. if you can afford them but on the other hand..
I also have a strat clone which I really like, neck is quite wide + light wood body but it plays great on clean.

:p

Hi bros, just got my Mighty Mite ash strat body and tried fitting my Allparts neck on it and the result is below:

So there's a gap in between. I tried pushing it down all the way till it can't go down anymore..is this normal or mods need to made for either neck or body?

Hmm well...I had to force a little to make it fit haha..I didn't have problems when fitting 22 fret necks on bodies but comes to 21 frets neck, it has this gap, so am wondering is this normal or the bottom of the heels needs to be pushed down all the way to the end?

My MM ash body Strat is suprisingly light at 2kg...:P I remember my MM ash Tele body being much heavier than this...

this one need ask fgl coz he got mm & allp.. combo
22 & 21 should be the fretboard length, heel size is same same so try not to use force
can sand down the neck but setback may not be interchangeable if you decide to fit on another body
i realize usually the lighter weight wood cost more than the heavier ones, dont know why maybe more sought after?

really coz i been scanning through warmoth, usacg & other guit wood sellers..
i just missed one that i like but shipping costs to sg canot tahan la, calculated total almost $400-$500++

faizal, I think the problem is with the allparts neck that is slightly off ori fender measuments. I had that problem once. But, When I fit an ori fender neck on the MM body, it fits like a glove. Seem like not just the neck. Two Allparts pickguards that I used to own have one of the screws ofset by one inch from the american series pickguard (which I suppose what it was licensed to replace)

hah Im meeting faizal later to see wats up
