wow wow wow have been away from soft for awhile but looks like my fellow diyers were busy..makes me want to start my next diy too..

Indeed, it is signed by my guitar God himself :D Acquintance in the US offered to trade it for a brand American Deluxe Strat straight up when he saw it ol

Finished wiring up my Strat with brand new electronics from TYMC. Cable ties are a godsend for tidiness.

Turns out that during my tapping test I didn't pay much attention to the tone pots and this is what I found out after I strung her up.

Oh well. And it turns out the Japanese pots from TYMC won't fit the ones that came with this CIJ Strat of mine.

nice i like them 62s too.. and you turn down the trade offer?
the stock pick guard cant fit gotoh pots? size too tall or too small or too short?

Nah, too precious to even think about trading it off. Maybe I would for an ESP e-zuka signature but those are 500k yen MSRP.

I forgot to mention that it's the stock knobs that don't fit. The shafts are too big by 0.2mm when I measured with my calipers. They went in by a bit but even with body weight it refused to go any further.

*Edit: Belay that. The guys just told me how to solve the issue. Thumbs ups to TYMC for their excellent customer service.*

Just me and my (latest project) guitar...
Finally managed to record something to capture the sound of the guitar.

Throughout this crappy recording, the OD channel on the amp was on, all tonal change on guitar.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nLNScQBKq4

Specs: Body - Poplar, Neck - Lefty Maple (Eden), Pickups - Mighty Mite w Bone Nut., 3 way switch, Vintage Styled 6 point trem w wood block wedge (fix bridge effect) & Kluson vintage styled tuners.

This guitar will probably be alive for a short while before I dismantle it or sell it off if the price is right. No Bidding hehehe!
