Merry X'mas!!! & Drum Xchange III: SG Drummers Circle

oh...i c...u r the guy in sch uni...but i dun rem ur face thought :p

c ya in the next exchange then ^ ^

Thanks alfe for organizing it....i will go to the next exchange ^ ^ not last mins next time...hahah!!! im kevin...actorial....rem me wor ^ ^ :D

The exchange was good. The turn out was about 12ppl and it's just nice. Anyways, you all should just ask anything that you have in mind on drums. Anyways, everybody seems to be loosen up at this jam, it's good, don be shy.
For those who're not around, we covered more on shuffle and latin groove. The basic shuffle, rock shuffle, bo didley shuffle, 'train'chicago shuffle, half time shuffle, songo, samba, clave groove, mozambique, reggae, ragga and few others.
As usual, we had lotsa fun. Hope to see more of you guys for the next one :D  :D

In my opinion, i think the next xchange, we should bring pen and paper.

1. to take note of what's new
2. so can practise la...

coz there's too many things new TO ME during the xchange and i can remember some of it only.

Also, If there's another time ah pek giving free tips to practise, we have pens and paper to write down if not like that xhcange, no one have pen and paper to write down the tips.

:D :)

hey ah pek,
sorry just to clear something up the train shuffle is differnt from the chicago shuffle. the train is played alot differently, more like in fast or up tempo country. will play it at the next exchange if i'm still ard

hi all,

on behalf of SDC our heartfelt thanks go to all the participants and drummers who very kindly and selflessly shared their own knowledge and expertise: ahpek, brandon (bklk), mark (blurred), biz2020, mel80, drummer-buah, daniel, xjp2020, vics, jason, actorial

also, thanks go out to the Bass Brothas' who showed up to help 'hold the fort' - Douglas (WarWickW on delphiforums' bassplayers of sg), Mervyn (Evangion) & Kinho (rottenramone)

was quite stunned at the high no-show rate (only about half the participants showed up) but luckily we managed to keep it going, on average each participant paid $4, SDC members $6.

personally i want to let u guys know how grateful i am for every dollar you give towards the studio, it keeps keep us surviving. thank you from bottom of my heart

Can I have a request? Can the masters please show how does Bernard Purdie does his 16th notes and his shuffle in the next meeting? I dont have time to go down so the videos are the only way I can be there.

Thanks all

no problem... but first, we have to locate amongst our brethren one who has been 'shadowing' bernard purdie... hehe....
