hey laquish. if you dont want ah. pass to me. i wanna work on them.

i'm taking the cymbals to hammer and probably do some drilling with them.

experiment abit.
see what i can get out of them.

they seem pretty much like what cymbal smiths would call blanks.
just pure sheeted metal. no hammering done to them.

good for me:D:D:D

i'll do some stuff with them and bring them for the next meet up :D

Huge thanks to Wen and Fuman for all the sharing yesterday. All that knowledge was invaluable. It was like attending a Master Class that most would pay good money for, but it was FREE!

To all those who came down, huge thanks to you for being there. We hope that everyone took home some knowledge, ideas and wisdom from the session. I know I sure did. Some very inspiring words and skills shared yesterday.

I'm sure it was a fruitful event for the DXS commitee as well as its members! Before I say anything I have to say that the new carlos kit (with the black DXS reso) is SMOKIN'!! Hahaha wonder how it sounds too, looking forward to watching the videos on the duel *Ahem Alfe and Wen* to hear the sound comparison. :mrgreen:

hahaa omg?! no lor.. i dun whack that hard... U ALL NEVER SEE GIRL DRUM THATS WHY! PFFT! and i was lost.. cause wen looked at me. then i didnt know if he wanted me to follow him, wanted me to stop. so was like "huh? nvm whack la." haha. and i was rush for time. parents were downstairs. so after i played, i left:) haha. and i wouldnt wanna date a guy who cant whack louder than me:) lol.

the verdict on the new carlos kit: incomplete - mainly because of stock heads. watch out for round 2 next month as we fit in new drumheads and give it another test drive. maybe should set up a poll and get everyone to pick their favourite heads or something :mrgreen:

wasn't a duel, it was more like james brown-meets gospel woodshed. wen & i were chatting about how happening gospel woodsheds were, u get 5 drumkits in a room and everyone just "sh!ts out everything" (thanks to a fellow attendee for this quote of the day :mrgreen:) the 2nd camera battery died by then too, so no footage. too bad. ha

appreciate the help getting the qns thru, alfe and the guys.

his 4badap phrase is enlightening...what vocabulary he has!

the bossa...pity, coz the qn wasn't how to do it but how would he approach the style at different tempos with brushes. i've been experimenting, and it's harder than swing!
