Hi fellow drummers,

We hope you have enjoyed this month's Soft DXS Programme!

Please email your ideas & suggestions to drumxchangesingapore@gmail.com to help us continue to refine and improve DXS programme.

I have this idea in my head for a long time which is very prevalent in the US, Philiipines, etc but not in our local communities yet.

Anyone care to comment to see if it works just just throw a shoe in my direction :) http://soft.com.sg/forum/how-drums/...-jam-singapore-do-we-have-one.html#post945878

Thanks for the feedback. You idea sounds good to me! We'll definitely keep that in mind and see how we can work it out. Logistics, setup, coordinating etc will be our main considerations on whether it is feasible or not. Since we have just kick started the DXS meetup again, we'll need some time to get things stable first and see where it takes us.

Nevertheless, every feedback is valuable to us. We always aim to provide a platform for drummers to learn from one another and become a better musician in a conducive environment. So please keep the feedback coming! :)

djembear u da man. been looking for experienced drummers / teachers to help guide younger softies drummers.

chops are always cool but drummers need guidance on drummer mentality / how to approach working in bands, what to do in working situation etc. as well

don't be discourage if u don't hear big applause, am sure it will seep into their mentality over time.

Thanks... To me, drumming is not a sport as what Vinnie Colaiuta mentions in a recent interview. It is really an expression of the player and tool to communicate music to the listener. I've never wanted or liked showing off my skills. That's one reason why I couldn't and didn't understand what I was suppose to show in my playing that day. Chops are important and crowd pleasing but it's just not in my system... My passion is to make any band or singer I play with or play for sound good by grooving with them and for them. And yes, I definitely do not seek loud applause from anyone because all I hope to do is to share my experiences to help others grow in their craft. =)
