King of POP has passed away. RIP Michael Jackson.

I too suspect that it was an empty casket. MJ is better off buried somewhere unknown to the public. I think Prince Micheal will carry on his music legacy - he already has that grunge look and will probably revive grunge music in 10 years time \m/

yah bro, i too believe that Mj has been buried already. The casket should be opened, as far as i know how the christian would do, if not a glass panel on the casket would do, right. Maybe he is buried the muslim way who knows. Ayway i love the perfromance by Stevie Wonder. Man, his voice is brilliant, to be honest my first time ever listening to him.

Does anyone else find it a little out of place that all his 3 kids especially his daughter, Paris, do not look even the slightest bit black? It's like there's not even a tinge of African-American blood in them. Most people who have bi-racial parents (eg.black dad & white mum) turn out to be children of a little color. Just look at people such as Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Barack Obama & Leona Lewis. All of them have mixed black & white genes & they don't look pure white.

I just find it interesting, I guess!

Lovehurts,

Do you know that Ryan Giggs' father is black too? Yet Giggs doesnt look black. I guess its the genes. MJ's wife probably has stronger genes.

I wish i had listened to MJ more during my childhood. When I was old enough to properly listen to music, he already released HIStory. and his major gigs mostly over. Plus I didnt know how to use internet to find and all that.. haha

guess i missed the "era". 80s babies will surely relate to him more.

I believe MJ's been buried according to Muslim's tradition, but for certain reasons, the christians majority chose to make the memorial a christian one,but nonetheless, only the Al-Mighty knows the heart of MJ. What does all these paparazzis, gossipers and newcomers know about MJ? practically no knowledge.

I still miss MJ. Been playing all his songs non-stop reminiscing the genius of a man with a beautiful character and heart. Hand cramp already.

Talented musician aside, I admire him tremendously for using his fame and money to help unite the world and share his wealth to charities. Even when he was going broke from the scandals, he took the opportunity to gather artists to raise money for the sept 11 attacks. The only reason why it wasn't publicised / exposed much was probably because Sony didn't let him release it.
Beautiful song too; listen to the lyrics.

I hate Martin Bashir. That asshole put MJ through so much stress that he became reliant on a cocktail of drugs.

And just for the record, I think every fan should watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H97lbBiUwSc
It's in 9 parts, and reveals insights about MJ that the world wasn't allowed to see. Most of the people interviewed in the footage offered to do it because they're sick of seeing the media brutalize his image.

- MJ =never= molested kids. He was naive towards social norms; in a way, he's still a child at heart. Sure he was a regressed 10-yr-old, but if you spent your childhood recording in studios day in and out and longed to "catch up", who wouldn't be? He never had a proper parental upbringing either; he wasn't even allowed to call his dad "dad".
He was naive, and worse, he was surrounded by con artists. He helped people who used his kindness and trust against him, for $$$ and because they are basically stupid jerks. Read this.
http://kingofpopmichael.info/the-false-abuse/

- MJ never bleached his skin. He had a skin disease. It's a fact. There are evidence that he has been suffering from vitiligo for most of his life:
http://floacist.wordpress.com/2007/06/10/vitiligo-photos-michael-jackson/
Started with patches before he just grew whiter and whiter. It was just heavily covered with makeup. It's also why he goes everywhere covered head to toe and with an umbrella; his skin is vulnerable to sunlight.

- Debbie Rowe -offered- to carry his kids because she believed that MJ needed/deserved to be a father (with his tremendous love for kids). She loved him dearly as a friend. She didn't want custody because she wanted to have a normal life and not be bugged by the media for the rest of her life.

- MJ had only two operations in his whole life; 1 - for his nose, to help him breathe more easily and hit the high notes, and 2 - when his head got torched for 2nd/3rd deg burns. He had been on painkillers ever since then, and his cocktail of drugs escalated ever since the scandals and Martin Batshit's documentary. His strong jawline and facial features are genetic and natural; look at his brothers and dad.

That said,
The man went through so much, and he probably worked his ass off for the 50-day concert just to ensure his debts are paid and that he could support his three children. He wasn't in a good state of health by then but he just keeps going on like an energizer bunny. In a way, I'm kinda glad he passed away. How much can one man take?

Try put yourself in his shoes.
Being alone (he used to walk around just to find new friends and ended up going home alone), Being abused
Being neglected of a normal childhood (which is cognitively important in development btw)
Being betrayed by the very people he trusted and opened up to,
Being made fun of everyday by the entire world, and most of all,
Being made that his love for children (he loved them because they were 'pure' and not judgemental, and that he can "be a child" around them) abused in the most horrific way.. the impact is equivalent to hearing you're being accused for murdering the one person you love the most in the whole world. He was devastated by what the media portrayed him as, and was severely suffering from stress and anxiety from it. He had a chance to explain (which he intended to do, in the light of the first scandal, by opening up and allowing Martin Bashir to interview him). And what did the guy do? Cornered him with inappropriate questions, bullied him into admitting things he never brought up, and gave accounts to more bad things about him.

How would -you- cope? If I were in his shoes, I would have taken my life.. probably wouldn't even live past 30.

The part of the memorial where his daughter spkoe up and said how much she loved her dad...that was heartbreakingly beautiful. Did anyone see it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xd-bUZXxNU

And she DOES look half black. So does the older boy.

And when his brother sang for him and cried at the end of the song...really tender moment.

Loved the memorial. Thought the family did a great job at letting us remember not just the entertainer, but the man as a human being.

One more. Watch this one.

Interestingly, of ALL the entertainment artists in the world, Michael Jackson is registered to the MOST number of charities, ever.

I lost count the number of times my eyes teared up during that memorial, esp during those scenes.. I think the whole world who watched it live cried at the same time when Paris gave her little speech.

His kids are beautiful btw. My only concern now is that MJ spent his whole life trying to hide their identities to protect them from the media, and now that it's out...... damn I'll be pissed like hell if the kids were to grow up suffering in the limelight as how MJ did. His family better jaga the hell out of them...

Oh on a sidenote, I just remembered Debbie Rowe said the covering of the kids' faces etc is not MJ's idea; it was her idea, because she received threatening letters that someone's gonna kill the kids. Bloody hell.

jesse_adams, thanx for sharing those facts.
whether or not they're true, we do not know, only he himself knew...
but i choose to believe the good things bout him.

jesse_adams:: Thanks for the links. The media/tabloids I dare say were hugely responsible for MJ's death and they cook up stories about him, just so they can get their papers to sell. Remember the 1993 incident where MJ was accused of child molestation? The kid who was apparently molested actually was told by his father to lie to his psychiatrist about him getting molested by MJ. In truth, the molestation never took place and the kid was able to extort money from MJ. All the stress from these allegations caused MJ to take painkillers and be addicted to them for life. And apparently after MJ's death, the kid who is now a grown up claims that he was regretful of his actions and that his dad told him what to do back then.

It's good that people are getting to know more about the real Michael Jackson.

I just hope that Debbie doesn't come in & mess things up.

Hi all, i'm sure most of u have seen my embarassing performance of Billie Jean but yday, I saw this clip in my PC and I realized it's a never before seen footage, (taken on the same day of my infamous rendition of Billie Jean) that has not been shown to the world for 3 years. I recorded that part of me doing the part where MJ does his famous moonwalk in that song but I thought it was too dodgy so I didn't upload it until now. Less than 30 seconds :) Enjoy!

"Plans for several new live events have been set in motion following the untimely death of Michael Jackson, according to Variety. The concert show Thriller -- Live, currently on stage on London's West End, is prepped to embark on a world tour later this month with stops including Munich, Barcelona, and Paris. The show's producers have are also keen on launching a touring version in the U.S. next year. Rumors are also circulating about a memorial concert on August 29 in London's 02 Arena, where Jackson was set to begin his 50-date concert series next week. In addition, a Broadway Version of Thriller, based on Jackson's iconic 1983 music video, was already in development before the singer's death."

the internet is quite a buzz with lotsa MJ rumours - some sites & rports are really pure crap

Michael Jackson's final resting place a mystery

http://aa.rd.yahoo.com/partners/ap/SIG=10mesffu6/*http://www.ap.org/
By MARK KENNEDY,Associated Press Writer AP - Thursday, July 9 LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson's glimmering casket took center stage at the Staples Center, sitting for more than two hours as celebrities memorialized the King of Pop under the watchful eyes of millions. And when the ceremony was over, it was gone.

By law, the golden casket that presumably held Jackson's body should be exactly where his death certificate says it is: back at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills cemetery, the site of a private family memorial service held before the Staples ceremony. Los Angeles County records show the cemetery as the temporary location, where it must stay until those records are officially updated.
But where Jackson's body will eventually be laid to rest remained a mystery, fed by the same level of rumor and speculation that surrounded much of his life. Will he be interred at Forest Lawn? Is Neverland Ranch still a possibility?
What if he's not buried at all, but cremated? The family isn't talking _ and may not even have decided yet.
The casket was first seen leaving the mortuary at Forest Lawn, where it got into a hearse for the 10-mile trip to the Staples Center. But before the service even started, the hearse was seen leaving the facility _ empty _ and wasn't spotted again.
But to keep in good standing with the law, the casket would have needed to return to Forest Lawn at some point, presumably after the crowds went home and the television cameras were long gone.
Robert J. Biggins, a former president of the National Funeral Directors Association, said Jackson's body is likely in his casket which he identified it as a custom-made, top-of-the-line coffin made by the Indiana-based Batesville Casket Company that is called a "Promethean." The casket is probably in a temporary holding area _ perhaps a mausoleum _ pending a final location, he said.
"This happened so quickly that it's something that has to have an awful lot of thoughtful consideration," said Biggins, who is the owner of Magoun-Biggins Funeral home in Rockland, Mass. "This is bigger than your average burial."
Conjecture about Jackson's final resting place has been as fraught as the rumors about where his memorial service would be held in the days before the Staples Center was announced. His 5-page will, signed in 2002, does not include final wishes for his body.
Forest Lawn is one likely possibility. If Jackson is buried there, he would join other celebrities such as Liberace, Gene Autry, Bette Davis and Andy Gibb. Recently deceased actor David Carradine and "Tonight Show" sidekick Ed McMahon also are buried there.
The Jackson family seems divided over whether the body should go to Neverland, which would surely turn the Santa Barbara County ranch into a West-coast Graceland. But Jackson abandoned the 2,500-acre estate after going into seclusion following his acquittal on child molestation charges in 2005, and many of the things that made it unique _ the merry-go-round, Ferris wheel and zoo _ are gone.
Billionaire Thomas Barrack, who owns Neverland in a joint venture with Jackson, has expressed an openness to the idea of having the singer's body buried at the ranch. The family would need to get permission from local land-use officials to bury Jackson on private property, then submit an application and paperwork with the state Cemetery and Funeral Bureau.
The state application would then need to be approved by the funeral board, a process that could take anywhere from seven to 30 days.
Beyond that, accessibility remains an issue at Neverland. A single two-lane highway leads to the property about 130 miles north of Los Angeles, and infrastructure changes would likely be necessary to accommodate the additional traffic.
Another possibility is cremation. State law requires that the person who has control of the cremated remains obtain written permission of the property owner or governing agency to scatter on the property.
Funeral experts said the delay in Jackson's funeral may be due to the fact that such celebrity deaths create logistical, security and legal headaches.
"One of the issues you're going to run into with any high-profile name, whether it be a former president of the United States or somebody of Michael Jackson's stature, is what does the cemetery _ if it's to be a burial _ do to establish security, to protect the remains, to protect the privacy of the family during the service, to protect remains afterward and what kind of built-in overhead comes with it," said Paul Elvig, former president of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association.
Experts said even a two-week delay between death and funeral is not unusual. The body of singer James Brown was kept in a sealed gold casket inside his South Carolina home for more than two months before being interred in 2007 at the home of one of his daughters.
"You're probably talking more about an impatient public and an impatient press wanting to know what's going to happen and that impatience needs to be understood," Elvig said. "If a body's been properly prepared by an embalmer, it can be held for a considerable period of time with minor touchups to it."
Biggins said he is even encouraged by the delay.
"I think the fact that there's this pause is a wonderful thing because it's being given thoughtful consideration," he said, "to make sure this is done right and this is done in a way that honors his legacy."

Yes, I agree too. May his resting place forever remain a mystery.

It's time that Michael got the privacy that he rightfully deserves.

No one should know where his body is lain except for his family members.

Was just wondering. Was MJ's dad at the memorial concert thingy? Somehow i don't recall seeing him in the audience with the rest of the Jackson family. I saw his mum, Katherine & all his siblings & of cos his 3 kids.

X17 XCLUSIVE - Michael Jackson's Body Taken To Neverland
(07/09/09 3:35 PM)

JackNever200.jpg
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - X17online has learned that Michael Jackson's body is being taken to Neverland Ranch near Santa Barbara.
While no announcement has been made about burial plans, we do know SOMETHING is going on. The family MUST have something special planned otherwise why would they have waited so long to bury MJ, right? Could it be they've finally gotten the approval to lay him to rest at Neverland?
Another possibility is that Jackson will be cremated and his ashes either stored or spread at Neverland. That would avoid the need to get a permit for burial.
