Well i just felt very great for him, since Mikaeel had finally found something close to his personal belief.
Maybe there is something to Islam that made him convert since Schon said Mikaeel actually studied Islam long before he converted which is prove that he dosent just convert blindly .and also due to the fact that he still convert to Islam eventhough Islam is being put in a bad light due to the terrorism stuff eventhough Islam dosent promotes it, as I believe no religion promotes violence.
So i guess the only way to find out that something special is to study on it just like Mikaeel did, since knowledge is the key.

Plus circumcision predates to the teachings of Prophet Abraham, so Jews and Christians esp those in the States do circumcise as well too. So I guess MJ might already be covered in that area..
But good for MJ as his brother has been talking about MJ interest in Islam for quite sometime already. May he find the inner peace that he has been wanting for so long...

as far as i know, he IS Muslim-born. but accepts all religions and let his children practice which ever religion that they would want to.

The Khan title in the Indian subcontinent is prevalent in only Muslim families, especially Pakistanis of Pathanese ethnicity, i.e descendants of a group of early Central Asians. It's just like the Aryan title as in "Raj Aryan", which is of Vedic origin.

A lot of them in the Indian subcontinent drink alcohol and eat anywhere regardless of Halal/Haram (they don't even know they should be making the choice so long as it's not Pork). A lot of Muslim-born actors/actresses like him are actually Free Thinkers or Muslim by paper only (does not mean they are bad). It is the culture that has moulded them that way, so when the time comes and they realise they want to really get into something, they announce it for the world to hear.
I still don't get why it's a big deal if someone signs into a new belief system. Michael Jackson or Uncle Lee, why care? I can tell you one thing, though. Islam is adopted by many of those that have lost hope (prisoners, debtors, beggars, people in crises eg. Michael Jackson and so on). Why? Easy to see, isn't it? When Islam was introduced, it was a similar case. People see light only when they're in trouble.
Caveat: I'm an Agnostic.
