King of POP has passed away. RIP Michael Jackson.

Faizal - So far, I've performed "Bille Jean", "Black Or White", "You Are Not Alone" & "The Way You Make Me Feel".

I tell u, everytime i sing any of these MJ songs, I have to fight back tears. :(

"You Are Not Alone" hits me the hardest. Becos when i sing the 1st verse, the lyrics are so fitting with what i wished i could say to him. I'm sure the millions of MJ fans out there would agree.

Sings :

"Another day has gone, I'm still all alone

You never said goodbye.
Someone tell me why, did you have to go & leave my world so cold..."
 
I heard this MJ song, "Gone Too Soon" on the radio while driving. It's a lovely short ballad, but the title and part of the lyrics say something about his untimely passing.

Guitarsan : Yep, i love that song too. He wrote it for a friend of his, this young child, who had cancer i think and passed on. That's so typical of Michael. Always holding sick & dying children close to his heart. :(

Oh oh. Time to fight back tears again. :cry:
 
Lovehurts: I understand how u and everyone else is feeling. I put the Thriller album in my Ipod yday and when I went out, I almost moonwalked at the MRT station! Good old days when I did that..hehe..
 
Faizal - I donno why but i really like MJ's "Give In To Me". Slash's solos on that are hauntingly good.

It's good to know that MJ at least had a will. It would've been ugly if he had died intestate. Imagine his family + his ex-wife Debbie Rowe fighting for custody of his kids & property or what not.
 
@Lovehurts : We don't gig much nowadays. Writing our originals. Might wanna try to get a gig slot at Wala's though. Was there last night, the band rocked the house :mrgreen:

Lovehurts: Yup, I really pity his children. I hope they won't be harassed by the media just like what they did to MJ. I must hear u sing those MJ songs one day..:)
 
Faizal - haha....if ever i should record any of those MJ songs's, i shall let u have a listen.

Yeah, apparently in his will, he named his mother, Katherine as their legal guardian. If I'm not mistaken, his ex-wife Debbie had signed a document surrendering all her maternal rights to their 2 kids. WHy she did that, God only knows.

The Unexpected was playing there last night. Super good versatile band! My band usually plays a mixture of covers from Guns N Roses, Skid Row, more modern stuff like lifehouse, my chemical romance etc etc. So far we have only done 3 originals. What stuff does your band play? =)

Heya. Can i have a listen to some of your band's stuff? Dudelove wants me to check U guys out la. :)

My band is a cover band. We play top 40's and popular songs from the 90's and 20th century.
 
Yeah I watched it! With John Morrisson (Who I think will be a superstar in WWE really soon!) and Teddy Long. Hilarious :)
 
Hi all

MJ's memorial service will be held tonight on July 8th 1am (Singapore time). I think we can watch it on CNN, BBC or any other news channel.

I'm sure its gonna be an emotional one...:(
