How much would you pay...

Doing a short survey, which may translate into action, so help me out here.

1. Do you want to get a second-hand American telecaster (not Highway 1)? (No/Now/Soon/In the future)
2. How much would you pay for it? (Prices for mint/some cosmetic flaws/lots of cosmetic flaws)
3. What features are you looking at? (Maple or Rosewood fretboard/S-S or H-S or S-H or H-H/Color)

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,
Raymond

1. Yes, one which sports an ash body, the Highway1 Texas Tele might be a possibility (note: despite the H1 availability here, nobody bothered with the Texas Tele version...)

2. willing to buy = willing to pay the required amount

3. not a feature fanatic, something good playing, good sounding will do

H1 Texas Tele...

don't really see the H1's in sweelee arnd..where are they usually placed sub? interested in checking out a H1 upgrade tele, to check out the jumbo fretwire..

no offence, but i'll probably never get a telecaster for reasons liable to it's tone, or the lack thereof. :?

Aggressive negative response noted.

Any more opinions? I must say I'm quite surprised that buyers are only willing to pay so much when a peek at the Guitar - Sale forum shows sellers going for at least $200 to $800 more than buyer expectation.

example being...?

1. No
2. Kinda silly cos I'm not buyin but then... 900/700/500
3. Maple/H-S/Blonde or Mary Kaye white

2nd hand or new doesnt matter as long as its a good deal.
the only guitar that i've bought brand new was my first like a long long time ago.
price? not more than $1k in at least 8/10 condition.

rosewood board (prefer ebony tho fender doesnt offer that option :( )
color sunburst or nothing at all.

uhh, H only with OFR :P

epitome. Not everyone likes the tele tone , smaller congregation , more appreciation.

It all started when i was 15-16 years old , hanging out at WMUM , JonChan was playing his butter tele , and his orange/yellow shirt matched his guitar pretty well. Surreal was jamming i guess , Glenn ( with his naked gibson les paul ) , JohnChiong ( super big fender bass )and Darren (blue car racing shirt, looks so toshiba ) was in too.
Its a long story la , but thats how my tele love started. Sold off my yamaha pac112J to get a TL-43. 8) No regrets , big neck profile is my only complaint , and the queerness to palm mute at the bridge.

yup..know what you mean..once you catch the tele bug there's no stopping..it's just downhill from the 1st tele you buy..can't play anything else anymore without feeling wierd..

After owning 4 strats, I'd think I like to have a Tele. Can't think of what other Strats I'd like to own.

1. No. I prefer brand new.
2. I'd pay up to $3k for a brand new one.
3. Must have a double bound body, S-S config, 60s C shaped neck. Preferably maple, but you never know. Probably black, or Sunburst...

Here's one that's nice:

Andy Summers anyone?

There IS one, which costs $8k, and is pretty much what I like in terms of sound and feel. It's the 1967 Firemist Silver Tele at Swee Lee, but I refuse to pay the Custom Shop price tag.
