guitarists and bassists, how often do you lose your picks?

lol.. all stubby users , lemme hear an aye!!! i like the teardrop shaped ones.. i dont really go for the triangular ones cuz its a lil too big.. and my stubbys, i tend to use until the sharp end is almost as rounded as the sides...

i either NV lose my picks or i lose them all at one shot...i have a fav pick which i always kept in my wallet..lost my wallet, togeher with my pick..bought a new wallet after that...kept 6 picks inside..3 weeks later, i lost that too..i gaveup buying wallets after that..got myself a purse...kept a 3 picks inside..one day, out of the blue, i had this strange idea of 'strumming' a piano with a pick and see how it sounds. i did it and the pick got stuck btwn one of keys and disappeared inside....i tried to dig it out with stuff that were thon enough to get in btwn the keys but to no avail...2 months later, i stuck a pamphlet in between the keys for fun and it popped out and popped back in again...and that's the end of that..the other pick feel under the seat of my dad's car and the other pick has simply disappeared..God knows where it is...

they're still ok...why do u ask that?but i personally LOVE the piano instrumental version of 'tears'....OH..do u mean my signature thingy?

wher do u guys normally keep ur picks?i put them in my pocket when i go out n throw them onto my study table when i return home..but all the picks always get lost on my table when i shove my books around...
but somehow, dunno y 1 pick has been with me ever since i started buying picks..back when i was a noob who knows only C,G,D,E,A chords..it's been with me for 2 yrs+(and counting)...

i use tiny stubby 3 mm for guitar...but it cant be used for pick slide right?

thanks to our dear beloved shredcow, im now stuck to stubby 2mms....really expensive picks compared to the fenders i used to use, but its been 3 months, and i still have the stubby he passed me, heehee

Hmm.

well for pick slides... I trust my faithful metal pick.. it's roughly 0.2 mm, but it's like pretty hard (stainless steel.. got it from ranking or swee lee I forgot). The thinner the better.. and I always scrape on lowest strings.. and also shake my picking hand (as I scrape) to give that shuddering feel.

:? ..i used to own a metal pick too..but i really didnt like the sound of metal against metal...

u mean u use the metal pick all the time?

Hmm.

umm.. for my humbucker guitar yes... brings out more life, but I dun really strum that hard  light-handedness seems to be becoming a lost art.

yeah.. quite true.. strumming light or hard and practicing to control ur picking strength is a good way to train urself to bring out the dynamics in ur playing..

Hmm.

I think one guy u shud really look at in this dept is Steve Howe... any genre also can gahsak. That guy.. respect lah.

been using jazz iiis... and playing with moderate to hard picking attack... i lose picks like... once a week.... its really irritating..

'pick this pick' brand i like.......
not bad... reduce picking noise...
but i have lost countless picks under my bed...

i like to rub away the black print on the pick, go to my school's DnT workshop, and use the scriber to scribe my name on the pick. :D

haha i have alot of pick this pick metal picks..i would use my nails to scrap the words off and make the whole pick metallic.. :D looks cool man

hmm....been using dunlop tortex pcks....pretty good...but i seem to wear 'em out quite fast...and i'm not tt aggressive when i pick...only certain licks an stuff for a more punchy feel...lolz...but i dun really lose 'em cause i always put them somewhere regularly like, my bedside table or smth when i'm done...so i noe where to find 'em...lose picks like, once a mth though...lolz...
