What is it?!
I've only had it for... 2 days... so this is what I can say it is...
Its a muff-like thing... that yet isn't really muff-like. For starters, the thing:
1) Works well with Volume Knobbage. Actually cleans up decently - shocker. And tone knob manipulations are translated well.
2) Its quiet. Max the gain then you hear a little bit of hiss... expected for that much gain but way low still.
3) Its got clarity... you can do arppegios and you can still hear the individual notes ringing out
I'll leave it at these 3 very obvious points first.... I need more time with it but those points - really obvious lah... cannot miss.
Here's a doodled clip. Meaning, it is unstructured and I was really just fooling around - will give you an idea of what the pedal can do but i did not tweak the knobs much except to max the gain later in the clip. This was recorded via a line-in, no mic-ed up tones, which would be more punchy/impressive/louder/toneful/yaddayadda...
Guitar --> Pedal --> Palmer PDI-09 --> Mac with Garageband

Oh, played with the volume knob a little way into the clip...
Finally:
Its got a blue LED so its boutique.
I think Goose has got something going on here... something good. Reason being, this pedal actually has versatility (within Muff-dom), clarity, dynamics and in-your-face-ness.
Thanks Goose - I wouldn't care to do this if the pedal did not inspire.
Anyway, more time with it... then proper pictures and demo clips will be up.
