Cable ties are good for keeping cables together, but not to the board. Get a few cable clips, plastic clips that snap open/close and have adhesive on one side, can be found at home DIY stores. Paste them strategically along the underside of the PT.

Or do it my way, use black tape.

i used to cable tie them together thn tape it to my pt, but after awhile i gave up since i'm always taking pedals in and out... it get's kinda irritating after awhile

I can identify with that! My cables are now kinda dangling. Nothing's gotten caught in anything yet (touch wood). Thanks for the thoughts guys.

And more pertinently, here's a shot of the "Fender corner" in my room:

Classic player Baja tele and a 1957 reissue strat.

Quick question. What are the main differences between the vintage reissues & their hotrod versions apart from the pickups? Never had the chance to try the 2 side by side before.

Mainly the pick ups,the price and for this instance the 57' on my vintage hot rod has a soft v profile while if im not wrong vintage 57 has a v profile slightly more steep i guess

avri 57 strat comes with a 3 position pickup switch, 7.25" radius fretboard, vintage frets
hot rod 57 - 5 position pickup switch, 9.25" fretboard, medium jumbo frets

Ah, now that makes a difference! Visually apart from the pickups, they look like the same guitar with a price difference. Thanks for clearing that up.

I can't wait for the day that I can learn to appreciate a 7.25" radius. Too used to super strats. Not that it's a bad thing at this moment :)

I had a Customshop 56 Mary Kaye with 7.25 and boat neck. It was hell of a pretty guitar in translucent blonde and gold hardware. But the neck was just too different from all my other guitars. What it did make me learn was to play cleaner with higher action. I still miss it - it was so good looking... :p

That's my problem with early 50's reissue Stratocasters the radius plus thick necks. although they have nicer tones coming out (especially with gauge .010s), I just don't like "fighting" it. too tiring. of course, seasoned players would beg to differ. my fingers were not made for soulful bendings haha!
