haha i only dont like gold top guitars (gold top mccarty dgt, lp etc) but others like dave navarro signature (jet white) and creme guitars are very very nice. and i dislike quilted tops haha.

Finally after two months of playing through a solid state 10 watt amp, my amp arrived via TYMC music today. Awesome guys, they allowed me to take my time to decide and compare, if i wanted to choose a bi-valve or flexi 50. After selling my old mesa boogie, its really good to have the tube response back.

Definitely check out TYMC as they have the whole line of THD amps and products available now.

THD is one of those brand names which let tone speak for the label's reputation. i'm in for a Univalve 8-)

Darn right ,sub.

My order was actually for a univalve. But, i figured i would really need the efx loop for the live shows and gigs when i am bringing my amp. Those class A amps sound really fat, looking forward to a 6L6 tube swap though.

Remember the zvex FF stuck on my guitar.... well all is changed =]

nice amp man!! should have been at the com when u msned me so i could go down to check it out too!

plus.. you can fit in any tube you want without the need to rebias -- the endless quest for tone just got longer!!

hey nano, nice amp!

i would love to get my hands on a THD amp.. but unlike you (cos uve made the decisoon already!!), im still stuck in deciding between a bivalve and a flexi 50. care to share what made ur decision lean towards the bivalve rather than the flexi?

thanks!

Wow...
nice work done by the masters.

I'm inspired to in-built my Pocket POD into my Ibanez RG321...

just kidding.

Hey man,

Do go to TYMC music and try both side by side. They are really nice and patient guys, i tried both back and forth for a long time before deciding.

The bivalve was capable of much more gain, nice saturated like medium gain tones, kinda like the bogner shiva. But this is a class A amp, fat spongy cleans and the gain has a unique character to it as well. But, it will do classic rock no problem. I could get instant Van Halen, Paul Gilbert, Nuno tones just by pushing it harder with a fulldrive2 or you could use a tubescreamer.

The Flexi although was a nice amp, was way way too loud and too much headroom to get any power tube gain going on. It has a master volume but i was not successful with getting gain from it. You will need a hot plate. But don't be mistaken its a bad amp, its very loud and needs to be played loud. Its class A/B for the flexi and i much prefered the fatness of the class A cleans on the bi valve and the ability to get it cranking at low volumes.

As with all THDs , they work superb with pedals, versatile enough for all kinds of music ( you will need a boost for metal )
