heh heh... shreddy of course lah people will comment on your USACG.

most of your comments also got this "USACG" in it.

BUT i understand where you're coming from. they make nice body parts.

wasn't gonna reply, till I saw that Daniel said he was just commenting.

So what exactly was the comment, Daniel?

and leecs bro, I never wanted to talk abt his USACG, but let's be clear that he did allude to custom vs production strats. I never took a dig at his pics when he posted them and was happy and proud abt his guitar, did I? Do a search, and you'll find that I gave him a pat on the back, in fact. That's the way it should be on forums no? =)

I just wanted to share my pics

Comment --> "me dun get the endless pictures of production strats..."

KenC, I really don't have anything against you.. or the posts of pictures of guitars of all kinds. I just "commented' as above. Like, "taxes are high" does not equate to me hating the government... and the like?

If you wish to take my comment as a jab at you... that would be... quite... exasperating actually.

Though I can see how you could have linked "production strats" and my USACG and how that might have been me pushing my guitar up... or something. Which, I'll clarify, wasn't my intent. Again, i find this exasperating.

Ed, haha, the USACG is my ONLY guitar, and I've always refered to it as USACG. Edo83's strat happens that was the most recent strat I played that left a really positive impression on me... and it is a USACG too.
Malcolm has his NosNuma guitars too but I didn't comment on that. Neither on Suhrs because I haven't played a Suhr strat recently.

Actually Edder, by now, have you noticed as ... minor "issues" with the USACG parts? I had some... minor, very minor issues...

Eh Chanmin, I am chilling... really! The Mac is...quite fun so far... Going to buy some recording software/hardware soon... need to restore my "studio".

haha i just use garageband most of the time. No money for logic pro those type.

but im curious. would a USACG fender strat clone be ... more interesting then a normal fender one?

haha no Daniel, I never thought it was personal la. A comment is hardly w/o implications, so it's impt to clarify what you meant, if it were a comment that's easily misunderstood la. Don't get exasperated as a result of your actions pal.

I've got absolutely nothing against custom guits. Nothing. Quite clear right? :D

And no, production strats are neither better nor worse than custom strats, it's whatever floats your boat. :D

I really just wanted to share my strat pics, nothing more.

shreddy,

no leh. never noticed anything. also too budy lah.

anyway the progress to date is only ONE coat of Danish oil on the neck. yet to sand it down lightly and do a second coating. maybe I'll do it tonight and shellac the body.

too many things to do... too little time. arrgggh.

Suddenly we have something to yak about! :P *general comment on all that's happening!*

Chanmin, I am using garageband but man, the way the mac takes in the signal and processes it... it sounds more artificial than my old laptop. I'm going pedalboard to mac, no efx from garageband. Maybe the old laptop was using older tech = more noisy, more treble lost = warmer tone = mojo.
I wanna pre-amp kind of thing... M-Audio firewire or something... maybe that M-Audio pro tools thing.
I mean, I really like to record stuff and I would like to invest somewhat in it.

USACG strat vs stock Fender strat? It would be more interesting to me and I would prefer to look/examine/checkout the USACG. Which sounds better, that one later than say lah. Just appeals to me so. Even if the USACG was a clone of a production model. *shrugs* Weird huh.

Cool.

I'm still not ... in agree-ance that my comment was so "volatile". If anything, clarification could have been sought easily or say, benefit of a doubt given, or say don't read between the lines, so on so forth.

Now I sound like I'm pushing the onus onto everyone else but the writer! Drats.

Lets not get into this shall we? If anything, maybe when we meet up or somethign to discuss gear (G2D vs Skreddy vs Pro Analog vs Boss) then we can chat in person.

Excellent... mine had some little things.. had to sand a little more here and there... neck didn't really fit as snug as it could have been but it was still tight.

I think malcolm's doing a good job bucking them up.

Dude, take yer time.. tis love i tell you. When this guitar is done, it will be like a part of you... and you haven't even played it yet!

Wah... So much love-hate in this thread... Here's some crappy photos of my new toy I got from Nik of ceriatone to cool you all off. 2x12 closed-back (with semi-closed option) cab loaded with Celestion V30s.

Kudos to Nik for his excellent service. Fast replies and shipping (shipped the evening before and arrived at my doorstep the day after). Highly recommended if anyone's looking for a 2x12 but not willing to wait for the retailers here to bring in the next shipment.

  Nothing beats a vintage analog metronome. It just cuts through the mix like a hot iron knife through butter. But seriously, why do you hear those digital ones when doing chugga chugga. :)

Shred: Yeah. It's a pod. My first dive into the digital world. It actually sounds good with headphones and pretty decent when plugged into the efx loop in the amp i.e. use the power amp section of the laney. Can't complain much with a piece of gear that cost less than a skreddy or blackstone. :P

KennethC,
your strats is so :supz:
I like the Yuriy ! I wonder how's the tone different between the 2 strats. Can i chat with you on PM?

ChanMin,
Will u reveal pics of that mystery box? I'm guessing it has a very special case?
