Fender Humbucking Telecasters

There is a massive tone difference between the thinlines and deluxes btw..

The WR buckers compliment the thinline very well. I quite liked what I could coax from the thinline when I tried it out. The thinlines had a more "airy" sounding aura from it. It sounded better to me for stuff along the lines of Caspian.

The Deluxe was abit too thin-sounding, but wit subtle tweaks it can do fine as well. One more thing abt the deluxe, they're wired in a way such that you can't really do the Les Paul "kill-switch" thang. So ya gotta rewire it because in the middle position, when one vol is rolled down, both volumes are killed.

yeah.

Don't just go for looks as well. Make sure you pop by a shop to try them out too..

Nope, actually, like this...

its funny how we like to drop the twang word on tele when none of us here prolly play country music or much of the clean sound of the tele on bridge pickup, away from any gain...

yeah i'm a big crosby, stills, nash and young fan.

pity i dont have a tele yet. if i do get one i'll get a b-bender one and start chicken pickin the hell out of it.

bro, if i'm not wrong, there's a band which plays country and folk music here. i think.. its somewhere at katong.

real singaporean country style. pedal steel guitarist also have

woah..new discovery here. XD Yeah most of the people that have a tele does not really play country, well i dun play country but i like the shape of the telecaster.

Check out the tele blackout loaded with duncans pups...cant recall the exact model. If I am not wrong, its the tele blackout hmt. U can find it at Swee Lee Sims.

I must admit. I play Tele not for the twang, but rather the shape appeals to me.

But dun get me wrong, the cleans are fantastic and I do use the clean occassionally.

thats making me regret letting my 72' deluxe go! damn. it was a good piece...

Anyway, I do love the twang and "snap" of a tele's bridge pickup... I jus't aint got no skills to do some chikin pickin on it..

I've found that teles cut through the mix VERY well too.
