Fender Humbucking Telecasters

Thanks bro... The tone rocks on this one, but the rosewood fretboards kinda darken the tone of the p90s...

Still rockin' out. Had Beez to double check the worksmanship for me, checked!!

Woah....That is some sweet tele you have! Should i get a real fender, like humbucking Fender tele or get a squier and mod it?

I'd say get a Squier :) U'll have extra cash to spare on the mods.

My Fender MIM Tele body has a Squier Tele Custom II neck on it, would u believe? :P So mix and match!

Hmm so modding a squier is a better idea than finding a telecaster that would suit me?

Well, only mod if u know that's the one u will feel the most comfortable with. The neck I would say plays a big part in this, there are some necks that every one of us just can't play comfortably.

I'm a mad tele country picker =] Yep not many of us around, and I'm far far away from good at all with the middle and ring finger! But when I pick up my tele it would be some Mason thing in A immediately.

Thats why I got me Tele for, to be serious on country. From a Superstrat...

And was that a toploaded P90 tankin' Tele? ahhh!!! Some Jim Campilongo is in order!

Glad to know there are country boys in SG~

Try to find a Squier Classic Vibe Tele. They call it CV Tele on TDPRI. China made with usual chinese problems such as gambling and illegal car racing, but it sounds good with a setup and some mods.

Breen: I think I met u on TDPRI!!

A breakdown on my Tele deluxe.

The body is a fully loaded Squier Vintage Mod series Telecaster Custom II with the stock Duncan Designed p90s.

I recently bought this 70s headstock MightyMite neck from a softie and added it into my Tele (surprizingly fit, but the heel was filed off a little to ensure it fits directly into the pocket without gap (@ Guitar Workshop). I sold the neck to Faizal_rocks who installed it into his MIM Tele.

Right now, after setup + intonation, this piece plays darker than with the previous maple neck. Awesome tone on this. I am looking for more Tele to mod. Perhaps a H-S, S-H or even a H-H position (anything other than the original S-S setup, just for the fun of trying out new tone and arrangement).

Overall I would say I paid less than $600 for this entire guitar, which is good. I prob gonna pump in some orange caps on Monday @ Beez.

i'd love to own a tele like that man...

Looks like the body has been routed for the H-H config. Looks good eh.

I am trying to find one without the pickguard (I find it a hassle with pickguard). Have a Tele with the config of a Les Paul, just the pickup ring and no pickguard for the win!!

i think i can visualise what you mean... but i prefer it with the pickguard, looks damn awesome, found this off a japanese site.. damn so sexy

Here's mine in all its mighty glory....... :D

NNGTele-1.jpg

NNG made H-H Tele
2-piece Koa body, 1-piece Rosewood neck
22 jumbo frets, 12" radius
Bare Knuckle "Rebel Yell" humbuckers
RS-Guitarworks electronics
Wilkinson/Gotoh trem bridge and locking tuners

wow sweet tele you have there. Hmm im leaning to the 72Thinline and Deluxe. Any Pros and Cons? The 72 Thinline has a F-Hole will it feedback alot like an acoustic?

This is becoming a Tele Appreciation tread~

Go for the drops. My Tele had a marked fuller sound with it.

Check out Don Grosh for his humbuckered no pickguard Teles. My oh my...

And that 2 hum half bridge battered Tele was AWESOME.

twang only for country meh?
Some twang in blues is also nice.
I use my AM standard tele for bluesy stuff. no mistake there.
kinda think of it, My tele already replaced my strat for blues.
It's all about personal preference and how you like your tone.

:)

Robben Ford has his 1960 rosewood Tele with him on stage all the time. Don't forget Iceman himself had a sharp as hell Tele tru a Fender amp with every dail at 10, and that sounded BEAUTIFUL. I'm still primarily a blues guy but I have to think a Tele is everything. Mine has a overwound Fralin on the neck, and yep its a more dark blues sounding fella~

Check out Vince Gill when he plays blues on his '52 or '58. Foof.

In fact I use my traditionally strung, traditional brass bridge and traditional Spezel tuners for rock and shred, the bridge bite helps overcome the single-coilness in some ways.

I tell you a Tele is everything.

You can play anything with a Strat, but a Tele does it with character. Although a Strat is the the blues king hands down. I just saw a Walter Trout video and its making gasssss for a rosewood strat. And I wanted a maple one. gosh, the guitar gods always like to mess with our heads......
