The more you assume, the harder you fall. Hence I try not to assume on matters that seems to be in my advantage. This way if it turns out not to be at least I have my ass covered.
I see the trend prevalent in both older and younger generations: think IT for the older generations - assumed to be a good stable industry to work in the past but now outsourced to countries such as India.
This thread makes a good example for the younger generations.

What do you mean by good parenting? It's a very broad issue. Also, I don't see the link of accountability on the internet with assumption on certain matters that benefit you. Care to enlighten?
