Did Coldplay copy Joe Satriani?

Whats wrong with using the same tunes/melody to make a new song? :)

Maddona rip from ABBA
Black eyed peas rip from some indian songs.

No doubt , Coldplay's songs are nice!

When I heard DT's Never Enough for the 1st time on shuffle mode, I thought muse was playing... "since when did muse tracks were so technically polished?" I asked myself... I checked and oh.. DT?! Is Jordan Rudess mimicking muse? Haha

Muse is technically polished what.. Not shreddy shreddy type but still very tight..
Yeah that song is similar to Hysteria in a way.. People kept saying it's similar to Stockholm Syndrome but it is actually more similar to Hysteria's bass riff..

Saw a comment from YouTube about that La Vida song -

"Proves what a mediocre song, singer and band can do with aggressive marketing and guerilla tactics.

Shameless plagiarism and bland vocals and instruments.

Worse than emo or screamo or all that shit."

:???:

pachelbel's canon is the probably most ripped off piece of music ever

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdxkVQy7QLM

but what's the use of going that far? at the end of the day, A is still 440Hz, unless u wanna create some revolutionary new (and redundant) form of music

there's nothing wrong with ripping off songs. but there are lines between a rip off, a cover, a tribute, and a DOWNRIGHT MURDERED song

i thought creativity was a cool thing... maybe nowadays change alr
