Actually I don't understand what's the hype with tr00 and kvlt?

What are they supposed to mean? :S In all my years of listening to black metal, I've rarely associated myself with such... Imagery!

I have no idea what they mean? :/
I wouldn't consider myself a metalhead, I just like metal.

I just think its really funny when people say it in serious situations and actually mean it, hopefully no one took my post seriously? (some seem to have, metal and punk discussions are almost as sensitive as religious and homosexual discussions eh?)

Anyway about where all the black metalheads are.. I was at bugis Long John Silvers today, I saw them eating combo 1 upsized. xD

i went to this hip hop gig last week at the Arts musuem to check out how their culture was like. and i was damn hell shocked ta see em being racists ! Malays perform and they groove and move . other races , they jus sit and start talking to themselves.
whereas in a metal gig , NO WAY IN HELL MAN ! WE'RE EQUAL IN EVERYTHING. SKIN AND BLOOD ! \m/ .

i shall list down the bands that i have been listening and still listening to and never stop listening to.. Satanic Warmaster, Peste Noir, Vlad Tepes, Absurd, Master's Hammer, Bestial Mockery, Bestial Warlust, Gorgoroth, Windir, Infernal War, Poison, Cantus Bestiae, Genocide Kommando, Abhorer, Aura Noir, Spear Of Longinus, Angriff, Aska, Moonblood, Xashtur, Revenge, Conqueror, Blasphemy, Axis Of Advance, Akitsa, Mortician.. damn too many but i guess you guys got an idea or somehow can evaluate on yourself what type of music i'm listening to.. well hope to hear more from you guys.. ^_^ :mrgreen:

you don't enter a forum inviting dislike then say it's a joke because it offends people & they won't know you're kidding until you say so... also, what kid you may be dead serious to others.

i'm a fan of black metal music, first & foremost. appreciating its culture is another issue. i listen to some of the bands on your list, i'm selective because some of the BM outfits churn out noise for the sake of it, their musicianship is limited.

Gorgoroth is a great band, currently in legal turmoil but let them deal with it. i admire King Ov Hell's musicianship, he fits in seamlessly in I/ Jotunspor in addition to his Gorgoroth involvements because his music is up to scratch, not because he's kvult to the bone. to me, these are the people to look up to. to think he's an elementary school teacher...

Aura Noir also has great music up their sleeves, Apollyon & Aggressor are great riff mongers, before Blasphemer brought some to the band. i'm anticipating what Apollyon has to offer bass-wise in the upcoming Immortal release. in this light, all of Immortal's bassists are people with great music in their heads, you might wanna check out Iscariah's current outfit: The Guitar Addict!: Dead to this World: First Strike for Spiritual Renewance

Xasthur is the manic depressive's parton saint. one has to be patient when listening to his stuff, that's for sure. Xasthur (and Leviathan) has taught me there is much impact in crawl-pace music as there is an all-assault context.

To date I'm not listening to Black Metal with Satanic culture or anything got to do with Satan anymore, most of the time in the lyrics, I go for their music quality and skills, And I agree with Subs some of them are plain noise.
I lean more towards on Power Metal. Try beating the Drummer Alex Holzwarth from Rhapsody and see where Black metal drummers can go.
