hope our friend gets the best choice.

I own a Korg K25 and a M-audio Radium61.

considering a M-audio Axiom

software instruments are marching into the mainstream

Too add to the confusion, there's a couple of mini-synth that you can consider such as

Novation Xiosynth 25
Korg Micro-X

Definitely more expensive than a simple controller but with the added bonus of a built in synth that doesn't take up cycles on the CPU.

X-JAPAN,

Drink couple of glasses of water before you start reading this thread again...Earlier, you were "wandering like a cat" for a suggestion..Now forum members...

As I said earlier, go based on your budget and requirement...

Best wishes....

yo JOEL, dun scare our friend lah...

stop using 'pussy' and 'dick' terms here lah, very vuglar you know

later ha, Mr. Softie Jim Wu will ban you ah!?

yes, better be careful; some fellow softies I know got banned becos they post something Mr. Softie Jim Wu dun like, this is strange as who is he to
judge as according to his own rules and regulations.

I felt unfair to my friends here, so I continued to communicate with them via email.

......................................... smile ................................... have a good day !

People, we are leaving the topic of this thead. Let's not go into this again, shall we? If you have some disagreements with James, please take it out of these threads and pm him personally. Posting things like this is counter-productive. And furthermore, you are hijacking somebody else's thread.

James doesn't ban people just for fun. And I'm sure he wouldn't do it without warning the person beforehand. And sgtpepper, he can do it because he owns SOFT and he pays for the bandwidth.

Anybody wants banning rights, just start your own website, pay for it yourself and you can do it.

But for now, let's all leave this side-discussion amicably and go back to the topic, OK?

Why you need too many controllers ? any specific reason...
errr.... for decoration ?

I'd kind of mention in some of my postings.

M-audio radium 61 for Reason 2.5 adapted

Korg K25 comes with a X-Y joystick
for Wavestation SR rack and Korg legacy DE

considering a m-audio axiom since it had lots of sliders, knobs,
key pads and other functionality.
software virtual instruments are marching into the mainstream.

however if the Axiom 61 keys costs $580
might as well buy the 88 keys controller for $880.

hardware and midi cables will be history soon
but I believe people still buy hardware for live shows.

I know a celeberity Musician in Singapore using Giga Studio for his live show... :D

All set on a Barebone PC with a 14" LCD and a 88 key controller, max RAM and HDD... :D

So People are no more dependent on the Hardware stuff as there is a wide choice....
