hi guys, in the market for a good analog delay..have any of u guys tried/owned a carl martin red repeat? found it on pedalgeek.com, looks good and the price is really attractive..

Most bootek pedals only 1 piece in Singapore. So high chance you might be the first owner here.

Jem007, ya know... what lifehouse says is true. :P

Just get it, if you have the dough and am willing to check stuff out.

WHERE ARE THE TEESE WAHS??

:)

I think I will be sticking to my DD3.. with hi cut mod.. I really just leave it at 1 setting and thats that. Does the job well in my kind of music.

tell me if you like it more than my super duper

a question for RC booster owners: how do u guys integrate it into your efx chain? As a solo boost behind main dist/od unit, or as an 'always on' unit for the thickening and livening effect? if it's the latter, do u guys use another pedal for solo boost?

Ah... man, i think they are REALLY the same things, down to the descriptions of the tone and parts used.

The KGB is like an older SHO... no led.

It kinda detracts from the way a humbucker should sound though.. I find it more like an effect than an always on thing. It sounds really like your Super Duper..

But for 119USD.... well.. thats the main selling price.

I don't have an RC booster, but I used it before, and I don't enjoy the thickening/livening effect, I think it detracts from the "real" tone of the guitar, but YMMV. Heh.

As for the solo boost question, its really a matter of personal preference and your settings no? I mean, if you run with metallica type gain and put the RC Booster pre-gain, don't expect much of volume change, maybe some eq changes, which might not be enough to cut in a 2 guitar band. Then post-gain, its more of a volume boost with eq, which is how I would use it.

i use an RC boosterlast in the chain as a vol boost. I used to use it as an always on to give the tone more body makes it sound fuller. Give it a try, i loved it but then it depends on your own taste.

I used to run it just after my drive pedals as an always on, i liked the sound of that as compared to before the drive pedals as an always on. after the drive pedals, other than thickening up your tone a bit the harmonics of the drive seem to come out more. And the eq on the rc is quite powerful.
