Can't find the clip but here is a quote though:
Hi there,
I did one of the Picture Wah clips on Teese's site (More of a fusiony type of tune) and I own
Picture Wah
RMC3LE
Wheels of Fire Wah (In Red)
I owned 2 normal RMC3's in the past.
I also owned a Fulltone Clyde and Fulltone Clyde Deluxe in the Past. The clydes were way too brittle in the top end of the sweep for my taste. With the extra treadle depth I just think it gets a little wide frequency wise.
I would say that between the PW and the standard RMC3 I would go with the PW. For some reason I just really LOVE Geoffrey's HALO inductor and the RMC3LE has it. THe Pic wah and Wheels of FIre have it too!
The Pic Wah is going to just give you the coolest wah tone ever. you can get all the Jimi, Cream, SRV and a lot of great Funk sounds out of it.
The Wheels of Fire is a PHENOMENAL wah sound, but it is a little more specialized. I like it for the Cream stuff, but it gets a little too deep for standard funk and such... The one thing that the WOF has is a volume pot on the outside that can click the battery completely off. you don't have to unplug the cable to preserve the battery. I wish all the wahs had that function!!!
The WOF also has an external sweep pot. So, it's tweakability lies halfway between the Picture Wah and RMC3...
If you have a chance to get the RMC3LE for a reasonable price get that one. With the halo inductor you can get pretty damn close to any of Geoffrey's other wahs with this one. Plus the gold is too cool!
The sod inductor on the standard RMC3 just isn't totally my bag, and again it's just my opinion from owning almost all of Teese's stuff. It still sounds great, just a little different.
The Halo inductor is more transparent to my ears. The wah's with the Halo retain the original tone of the instrument a little better.
So, if i haven't confused you enough I say try the Picture Wah 1st and then buy more as needed
