hey edder, so.. when did you fall for booteek gear?

to be honest. I never did.

The only booteek pedal I own is a voodoo labs 2 knob tremolo. If that is considered booteek and it was a gift from a mentor/ex singapore music forum owner OVID.

The rest of my pedals are a common pedals. Notable ones that I can remember off hand are Schaller Tremolo, Roland Bee Gee fuzz, Asama Drum Synth, Boss VB2, Boss DM2, Alesis Wedge tabletop reverb, Alesis Quadraverb, Ensoniq DP/2 and some others that I can't remember.

Don't play much these days.

yeah... just cleaned up my dog's pee and poo. bugger was whining. now enjoying a pint of homebrew.

schaller trem? decent and nice and its GOT THE MOJO for being such an old pedal.

Yeah, its personal preference and due to my current playing style.

The FF is really nice, sounds very good too, pretty unique... but its not something I see myself constantly using. All along, my sounds and music have not been based on effects but plain old distortion and creative juices... so ... the FF doesn't sit in there right now, probably until I run out of creative compositions.

As for the blackstar, the tone didn't agree with me, though it is a superb heavy metal tone, and namle is going gaga over it. Heh.

how are your settings like dude? i like the lower drive knob to be on more gain than the upper drive knob, with tone knob somewhere around 11 o'clock.

i prefer more of the lower drive to get the fuzzier low end, sounds thicker that way

then i will mess aroudn more with the tone knob... either i put at 9 oclock to get thick and warm distortion sound or tweak all the way to 12 or 1 oclock to get the high gain fuzz sound

then roll up and down the volume control on my guitar to get even more different sound

oh yeah, i like the vol knob down for mean aggressive-sounding blues tone :twisted:

I rem... when I had the blackstar, i had the bass drive, just enough to match the bass of my amp when playing clean, usually around 11 oclock.

Then the Top Drive would be @ 12 - 2 depending on my mood.

Tone will be... usually @ 11oclock... but when recording, which I did a little, i up it to 1 pm.
