Boutique Gear: When did you fall for them?

I don't seem to have a use for the fuzz face type of fuzz leh.. gah. That time, long back, I used a Danelectro French Toast, and that was the MOST extreme fuzz I've ever used... did 1 composition with it. Sold it off after that.

I wonder how the Zvex Fuzz Factory will be. :D

I bet all of you fuzz-natics hoping I'll tire of it and let it go.
 
my latest boutique acquistion is the Boss AW-3 Dynamic Wah.

Got a boutique chip at the side and boutique scratched paint at the side.

Page used a Supro and a tele for most recordings, contrary to what most folks think, marshall and LP.

If you hear a supro today, you'll most probably think it sounds like shit.

But Page can make any damn thing sound good.
 
guys, anybody ever ordered anything from Mi Audio before?

From anybody's experience here, what is the longest it will ever take for a package to arrive from Australia?

Been waiting a month but still no news. :cry:

went with the standard shipping, it can't be that unlucky that my package is lost right?

My experience from ordering from m.i audio was that it took from about a week to one and a half week. You should email micheal and check with him. What did you order btw?
 
I see actually my bro ciel helped me order on my behalf as we had initially planned to order alot of stuff together in bulk from somewhere else(tonefactor/musictoys) but then due to inavailibility and all that crap, i said why not just get this paticular pedal direct from mi audio last minute...

its a blue boy deluxe, micheal said they shipped on the 12 th or something but i could have sworn it was much earlier...

Yeah i know it normally takes a week or 2 but im hoping that someone here has had a similiar experience and that i won't have to write this off that soon...I still can't believe so sway .....Cos it is real mental agony to be waiting for a month already and not knowing if its coming or not...

Oh well.
 
Depends on what kind of shipping you're using...fastest I got my stuff from the US is like 4 working days....usually its about 1 week or so. if its been 1 month than the mail could be lost or went to the wrong destination....I remember once my mail went from the US to somewhere in Europe and staying there for a couple of weeks cuz there was some typo on the mailing address...but I got my parcel eventually like after 1 1/2 months or so....

Totally understand how u feel about the one month waiting period. Waiting 2 weeks for one pedal is already painful enough. I presume you did not buy the extra insurance with the tracking number? Wait for a little bit more and if it doesn't come, u could try to email michael again and see if u can work a deal out with him or check the local post office.
 
I'm a newbie at boutique gears, n I'm here to learn from all of you. Can anyone tell me whether keely SD1 would be a good buy, considering I play anything from blues to metal to classic rock? What keeley models does Guitar77 carries? Would like advices from you guys.... :wink:
