Boutique Gear & Soft forums

oh lemon hows the severe? I wanna test the diff between it and my riot man.. didnt hear v v distinctive features between the two based on mark day's clips.

superpotato_30: Hey, PM me and we'll see if we can arrange something to compare the severe n riot.

Come think of it, there haven't been much threads regarding gear talk recently. So i guess the situation is, no discussion, no hype, no interest and demand?

heh, actually no need to bid. I dont like bidding system. Anyway, if i dont get to sell it, i will keep it as well.

For these 2, i will not lower the price as per some item which i have sold before. But for sure it will be reasonable enough, in my standard only. At least 1k and above..

Hehe, dont think there be much who are willing to spend that much just for delay though...

it feels like the times have passed. the market has saturated and i think many of the more senior members are pretty much settled on what they have or have made one full circle. the younger ones are learning from the mistakes of the older ones who have gone the world of pedals and buying blindly on whichever advice they are receiving...

great thread BTW.. i got lots to sell too... hahha.. but alas....

h&k for $2400? bought it from me bro? hope it is serving you well....

Yeah, I must comment that the Buy/Sell forum is merely a shadow compared to what it used to be. I just came back after I temporarily quit guitar for half a year, and woah! the change in soft is huge!

in all honesty the classified section should be done away with. the normal buy sell was better.
I agree so much with you. Back to the topic. I think the generation this days are much much more impressed with great tones coming out from "off the shelf" pedals, rather than "boutique" pedals. I am part of this generation, and proud.

Back then, boutique-ness was about hype. I remember a few years ago when boutique pedals were in rage in this forum. Usually, a few "senior" members would post pictures and reviews and start bragging how fantastic such and such pedal was. And shortly afterwards, that particular pedal became the Flavour of the Month.....everybody wanted one! For example, remember..... Crunchbox, Jetter GSR whatever colour, Mr.Misse pedalboard, OCD, Skreddy Mayo & Screwdriver & whatever Malcolm was introducing, Tubezone, Xotic, cheap and good Artec Delays, Boss DS-1 xxx Mod, Blackstone & mosfet craze, Tim/Timmy, etc, etc.

Well, those were the days. Nowadays, boutique is no longer the cool word....haha! :D

Wonder what the cool thangs are now. I'm one of the old heads who still prefers boutique..............if i had the money. For now, i shall have to be content with my trusty PodXT Live.
