Well...you can see people cutting que in many occassion daily. For me, I'm very particular with que cutting. If anyone cuts my que, I'll definitely push him off. Old lady, old man, youngersters, gangsters, etc..except todlers. I don't care. But that's the thing in Singapore and that's the thing with me. I'll take the chances, if a fight should break up. I also got number you know. Hehehe...!! I'll call 999.

Why..let people step onto you and then complaint? We must be able to fend for ourselves for what is right.

EDUCATION
Singapore have poor education systems
students nowadays just sits there n listen 2 da teacher..do their work...go home...do homework...nxt day...hand in
thats it
n onli 1 hr of CME period
in da whole week

best as in following everything by the book, not thinking creatively and out of the box...my personal view

Haha...interesting post. Here's a little cheesy poem I just wrote to lighten up.....

Kiasuism is a Singaporean disease,
Brought forth from years of Government's policies.

Kiasuism does not discriminate or care,
Whether you are Ahmad, Ah Beng or Ah-Neh.

We learn language, mathematics and science in school,
More importantly, we learn how to be kiasu.

Being first in everything is the name of the game,
Doesn't matter if we put ourselves or families to shame.

Intermediate Kiasuism is a must for Hello Kitty,
Advance Kiasuism nails mid-year sale at Swee Lee.

Who says Singaporeans are not gracious and caring?
It's just that the fear of losing out overwhelms everything!

So how can we fight Kiasuism, the national disease?
Not another courtesy campaign coz it's just a showpiece.

i agree with rey, that might get you into trouble no matter how light hearted it might be.

i do agree singapore does have one of the better education systems in the world, but in the area of social mindedness and etiquette we arent too far ahead. yeah sure its clean and green, but we got a long way to go.

we need better upbringing and education from parents/family, not those academic ones from school/teachers.

yes, even in SOFT forum, we see many who could improve on their behaviour.

Which, if i read correctly, he did. More than once.

If one person cuts your queue you can probably smack him/her and get away with it. The people behind you will agree that the person fell down on his own when the cops come :D

we need role models to be teachers, instead of making teachers be role models

and then its funny how we can complain about screwed up auntie/uncles on the street, and then complain about screwed up kids, without realising that maybe the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.
