Avenged Sevenfold Thread.

Agreed, Sylash. That's the problem I find with many who aren't easy-going when they come to music. They only consider their favourite genre, e.g. metal, as true music, and they bash everything else, calling them nasty names.

The best way to get along with people is to have an easy-going nature. And I find that being easy-going, I'm a lot happier now than last time when everything I listened to was hard rock and metal.

Okay,i'd figured i'll throw my two cents in here.

First of all,the current Avenged Sevenfold can be classified as rock,or hard rock if some people would like,but not metal.Not even a little.They were metal before City of Evil came out,and the metal stopped there.And if Synyster Gates or any other member chooses to wear a fedora hat to improve their appearance in their opinion,then there's nothing wrong with that.So what if he doesn't look more metal that way?He's just thinking he'd look cool with a hat on.But the hat seems optional for him nowadays,he didn't wear the hat in Live in the LBC.

As for fans(really \m/ fans ya know) who said that they're thrash when they decided to do not so metal stuff,then imo they should go and jump in a river.Avenged Sevenfold have said before that they dun want to be the same band every time,they want to change.So what if the songs are not metal anymore?They're still nice!They're still Avenged Sevenfold's!If a true fan were to call him or herself a true Avenged Sevenfold fan,they would not think,"Eurgh,this song ain't metal." They would think,"Hmmm maybe this song isn't so good by Avenged Sevenfold's standards."

See,they would think that the song is Avenged Sevenfold's first,then deciding what genre or any other shit they wanna tell themselves and other people.

But sadly though,some fans just go "This ain't metal!Avenged SUCKS!"

I can't stand their music to be honest, at least stuff I heard briefly from city of evil, but so what. I don't care if people like them, it's their preference. Not gonna diss them or the band for it.

But yeah lots of metalheads need to get a life - especially those that go "this band sucks, its is not metal, you should listen to <insert obscure band here>". News flash, no one gives a damn what you consider REAL metal, as much as you think otherwise.

And if your excuse is you wanna share/recommend good bands to other people, dissing a band that they like is a really stupid way to go about it.

exactly. there're tons of people on, say, YouTube, commenting on videos of bands saying that the fans are stupid and that they should listen to this band... or that band...

it's really irritating.

so what if a7x isn't metal . . .? its their band and its up to them whether they want that song or album to be metal or punk rock or pop rock . . . no matter what is their genre their still those 5 friends from huntington beach,ca . . .music is universal man . . .if a7x isnt metal let them be . . .a7x is the band i favour the most cuz of their different styles of music . .it gives me wider range of musical style in their form of art . .but seriously . . . despite their changes from the first album,it showed us how talented they are musically right? it shows us that a band is not limited to not only one genre . . .and it does not have to mean that their metalcore from the beginning and they should till the end of their musical career right?

Bottom line is MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL . . .

Okay I would say the members are talented and they create good music. Its just that some of you guys wrote something that attracted my attention.

The don't like genre thing or whatever. Its befause, that we do not like the genre, that we don't like the band. Like I hate RnB, so I hate ____. The music he/she produces is the music I hate. So the genre, is the musc I hate. That is why we do not like Avenged Sevenfold already, cos they do not create the music they used to create. Thats all.

Oh and yeah SYN creates good solos and stuff but, you get tired of it easily. To me, all of the solos sound kinda same. Tone-wise and everything. But its cool anyway. I liked M Shadows screaming, it was kinda cool and the havy riffs from the first two albums. City Of Evil was great, but it was at the peak of their turning away from Metal. There was still a metal flavour in it, but not so much. There were heavy riffs, and good drum beats.

The Self-titled album, not so good. Their making of the album on Youtube was funny and great though. But the songs, not so nice. Once again, you get tired of it easily. When the album just came out, I quickly went on the internet and check em'out online. They were great, I was addicted to it, for 3 days only.. lol. Then I got tired of it and listen to their old albums.

Jimmy, is really, good at using his double-pedals. His good at making beats out of it and his snare drumming is simple yet in all it sounds close to godly. Christ is also good if you would hear the bass properly in the songs.. Synyster, well so obvious, he's good. M Shadows, COOL BODY. 24/7 workout. And he has a good voice. Even now, without screaming. Zacky Vengeance has the skills to be a lead guitarist alright.

Oh and Diamonds In The Rough, better than the self-titled album, but not so good either. but the LIVE IN LBC shit WAS OFF THE HOOK. Fun to watch. Especially when they played Scream ^^ (Hot babes dancing behind the")

Oh and to tell you the truth, all and all they suck, now. I mean to me. IMO. Their new songs are a bit cheesy and you'll get tired of it easily. Oh and I'm the one who got banned for 3 days for creating a flaming thread for them. lol.

Jimmy, is amazing. I wonder why he's not credit-ed for any of his wonderful works. To me, he's in the standards of Joey Jordison. But Joey gets more credit. Sigh.

Oh and I appreciate music, its just that seriously, the song's not so good to me. Its not about poseurs, playing it out loud or something. IMO it sucks. The Rev is often credited for his music..songs like Afterlife,Almost Easy was composed by him.Hes often credited in the making of these songs.Anyway,everyone has their own personal preference,so if you don't like Dear God,I respect that

go watch the making of avenged sevenfold's self-titled album. he's credited for those works. he wrote those songs. rmb the part "just a spoonful of jimmy...".

and yea about the dear god thing, i used to hate it. but i took a chill pill, and realised what great musicianship and composition they had in there. i know it may be a bit too cheesy for true metalheads, but think of it as a rock (and not metal) song.
