Anyone digs Synyster Gates?

yeah gates rock. i love his playing, his guitar. he plays with his soul. you can clearly see that in the seize the day solo and gunslinger solo. but the thing he needs to improve on is that he looks real proud and doesn't do his best on concerts.

o.O

They are all legends lah please.. John Mayer said about SRV's intensity "You can reach that level.. Like maybe once in your entire performance.. For around 20 seconds, and then your hand cramps up.."

Clapton is great too!

yea, vai's and idiot. he plays with feelings! he played with mine once. i got so hurt :(

"good" is subjective la. i think flybar's guitarists are good. really love their music and their style, though its not technical neo-classical shred-power-speed metal :D

Nice videos, Godspeed. I simply love the SRV's cover of Little Wing. BTW, the bassist in that video look freakishly tall!

some people like petrucci, i find him too robotic, too emotionless. you can just hear it. even on his ballads like Wishful Thinking can hear the robot in him. (though in Lost Without You he shows a bit of emotions haha).

You are young. I will forgive you.

Go check out Falling Into Infinity as well as the Liquid Tension Experiment albums BEFORE Petrucci became a robot.

hahaha perhaps, i havent given dream theater's earlier works a listen yet (earliest work that i heard from them is metropolis pt. 2).

liquid tension experiment is pretty good, though i dont really like LTE1 compared to LTE2.

and liquid trio experiment sounds weird without petrucci in it somehow haha.

Edit: state of grace on LTE1 is one of my personal fav though haha. i totally forgot about LTE when i mentioned petrucci.

oh yes, liquid tension experiment

state of grace and hourglass
are some of the nice ones.

ok lah, i'm lying.
the whole album ( 1 and 2 ) is good.
haha

---edit---

and just so that i don't waste another post,
i think liquid trio expriement sounds weird to you because you listen to too much dream theater?
in which petrucci is the main song writer?

And yet SRV maintains that same intensity for all 3 hours of his concert.

You're missing a lot. Check out "Explorer's Club - Age Of Impact". That album is worth buying for track 2 "fading fast" all by itself. JP will MAKE YOU CRY.
