oo does Peninsula has the R321.

and btw, with 22F guitars, can i still play my x Jap Solos ?

nono i was refering to the LTD guitar, RG321 can be found at brash besar, 22f not sure... i am not a xjapan fan so.,... i can't ans u that question.... but mostly 22f shld be ok....

erm Rusty Nail, Forever Love, Kurenai, Endless Rain, Weekend.

:O do these solos require 24F ?

EDIT: Can we like add each other on MSN and have conference now? haha

For 300 - 400, floyd rose and 24f, don't bother with anything new out there. First, the floyd will be horrid.

Get 2nd hand. There was a CRAZY offer earlier on the classifieds for a '93 MIJ RG470 that came with the original Ibanez Edge trem. $400 for that. Totally killer. Gone already.

Next, if you really wanna get a floyd and you are willing to put up with the hassle, go for it. No reason why a newbie can't go floyd first, even without guidance.

Finally, btw 22 and 24 frets, the biggest issue should be your neck tone. The 22 fret guitars will have a better, more neckish if you will, neck tone than the 24 fretters. Other than that, unless X Japan likes to do bends on the 24th fret, why bother? ;)

Now.

I STRONGLY suggest you go down to Swee Lee with an experienced guitarist, someone who knows his stuff, and go test it out. Get the list of models that the kind ppl here have put up, then go play them all.

crozz : oh i see :) thnaks

shredcow: the sad thing is i dun have any experienced guitarist friend :( Floyd Rose sounds good. Whats the model that has a lighter price tag. Btw, a guy is selling me a 2nd hand MockingBird Body Art 2003 Spiro Light @ 300SGD (2 years old) . the pickup nails as he said is a bit rusty now :/ Is it a good offer?

fuqweeR, basically, for that amount you are willing to fork out, there's no guitar with a solid floyd rose available. The best you can get are floyds with just above average stability and it will irk you to the core when stability is compromised on a floyd.

I dunno abt the BC rich. But i do know that if it comes with a Floyd, its likely just average at best.

But for a first guitar, why not? Please find some experienced guitarist to help you. Really.

if u're not too anal about playing note for note, why not? u could replace certain notes with others and still get a decent solo out.

If I were in your shoes, I would get the B.C Rich Warlock (Red), Mick Thomson Signature model from GW. It is only 400, first-hand, and since you mentioned the Mockingbird, so. It is a fixed bridge.
In my opinion, it is a very good buy, very very good, one that I would make. I have always wanted one.
But then again , it is up to personal preferences.

hey tell me more abt that warlock.... haha pls..

It's the actual Mick Thomson Signature Warlock, with the mini 'Hate' inlay and the number '7' on the widow headstock.
It is 400 bucks at Guitar Workshop, saw it the other time. First hand too, I think it is a very good buy.
Seriously, I have always wanted it and if I did not already have a couple of axes I would have readily purchased it.
Pity that GW did not bring it in when I still had the cash.

You interested too? Impeccable taste, I say! I love the shape and the widow headstock.

erm looks good. but i will prefer the mockingbird kinda shape! its hot :O

i will look around and if worse comes to the worst, i will buy the 2nd hand mockingbird :(

woah... what kinda deal is that?? where did he get it from? 8O

Get a good med priced guitar with a hardtail or norm trem instead of floyd.

1. Good med price guitar - better made & has better resale value later wen u wanna upgrade. Cheapos need lotsa work to make them feel or work rite.

2. Hard tail or norm trem - easier to tune / change strings.... once you very familair then can try floyd s...

If u must go with floyd trem then better to go with Ibanes RG series - 2nd hand jap copies U can get from luther classifieds / 2nd hand shops. Really good budget floyd guitara or squire floyd series...all other cheapo floyd guitars not advisable.

my 2 cents
