Hi guys,

im planning to get my first electric guitar and my budget stays around 300-400SGD. I will be buying Marshall 15W Amp already. As for the guitar, i hope that it can be 24F. I will be planning to play X Japan's music after Ive somewhat learnt how 2 play.

Thanks in advance for the advices / recommendations !

Peace!

i would forget the floyd rose and go with a fixed bridge. Since your starting out and want something you can learn one easy and fast go with the fixed bridge.

There are some good reviews here bout the Ibanez 321 or other models.Thats basically gives u a "String and Play" option without the hassle of floyd rose. Everything else would be a breeze. I'd recommend going with what you need and not worrying bout things you wont need now..etc dive bombing~~ LOL

Getting a tuner also might help out ...it saves you the time tuning by ear...which you can pick up along the way as well 8)

What bigrockshow said is true, if u r a beginner better not get a flyod rose, get a fixed bridge. Be it an LP, SG, RG321 etc... Get the ones with fixed bridge...

As for the RG321, i would strongly recommend for that too, actually 2 of my frenz bought the guitar and they r very happy abt the guitar. Because compare to 300-400 SGD fixed bridge guitar.... that's one of the best guitar u can get...

Ultimately it is still up to you. We can onli recommend and advice... after all u shld go down to the shop spend sometime playing at listen to diff types of guitar... :) :) :)

i'm not all that familiar with x-japan, but i'm quite sure u'd want a guitar with humbuckers right? and you said you want something with 24 frets, so i think you can rule out a Les Paul copy cos they only have 22 frets. maybe you can consider an Ibanez like the RG321 - which is a fixed bridge (as the others have also suggested) and 24 frets

i'd second the RG321 option but do keep your choices open, there are plenty of non-24 fret guitars which are good for the money, i'm stating only 2 here for the record:

LTD M-50 (List: $395)

Cort M-200 (List $440)

oo thanks for the advices dudes :)

i was thinking of getting a mockingbird or something liddat . any1 has any idea how much will that be.

depending on which mockingbird u getting. The Burny ones or the Bc Rich ones.... i think there is a reiview on the bc rich mockingbird u can go check it out at the review column... :)

Hmm thx Ichiro, I'll try davis when I'm free.

fuqweeR:I don't think Peninsula imports Ibanez stuff though. I think i can only find the RG321 at swee lee.
