anyone has recommendation for amp for home practice? Maybe a little more than 10W - 30W a bit more power, im playing a fender mustang

thanks

thanks guys, well maybe a few hundred dollars for rock, im versatile, maybe strum some chords, metallica, u know im just a beginner

ive heard about tube amps but im not too sure if u can get that for less than $1000

was eyeing a fender frontman which is quite generic, or a crate or something

yes you definitely can get one for less than a thousand. its quite abit.

the lc15 is pretty good, dont let the wattage deter you though, low wattage tube amps still do pack a punch as compared to their solid state brothers.

some amps you MIGHT be able to get, vox AC15, laney LC15, lbane valbee, fender pro junior, fender blues junior, epiphone valve junior.

those are the tube's that you can get. but for metalish kinda stuff, lc15 is the way to go. fenders and the vox have sweet cleans but arent THAT suited for metal as compared to laney

A used Peavey Classic 30, they appear all the time on Ebay. + Shipping it should be within your budget. It's a super good base to build your effects on. Many studio guitarists of various genres use it so that should show how versatile it is.

The important thing here is since you're still a beginner, you shouldn't get amps that are too specialised. Get something that you can build up your rig with. As you grow as a guitarist and try various style of music you may find that perhaps metallica style stuff aren't really your favourite styles anymore.

i agree with almondx, get a amp that will suit a versatile playing. There are also pedals that can provide you that metal twang distortion. You don't want to spend a thousand on an amp that only allows you to play certain genres just in case in the future you decide metal isnt your path etc.

i do believe that laney has very good general amps as well however i cant name you any specific model so feel free to check it out.

Hmmm there's a slated price cuts for the line 6 spider amps in light of the recently announced Spider Valve amps which makes them even more appealing than before.

Spider amp, spider amp, does whatever you want it to do and moree! (to be sung in the spiderman tune melody) :D

Why no love for uber versatile Fender Champ ?
Nice for room paractise and takes the beating front and back !! 8)

I heard its 600 from Swee Lee or get a custom from ceriatone ...

Roland Jazz Chorus.

WORD!!!! This is a very good amp if you're into pedals... It doesn't colour the tone much at all. You'll hear a very bare tone. If you sound bad, it's because you ARE bad...

P.S. If you were to get the LC15 from Laney, make sure it's the LC15R version. The reverb on that thing is quite nice...
