What matters is the absolute amount of alcohol drunk, not the strength.
1 can tiger @ 5% = 16.5ml of alcohol
10 cans Jolly @ 0.5% = 16.5ml of alcohol
Of course, this is theoretical. Nobody would drink 10- cans of Jolly because you'd be sick from the liquid volume before the alcoholic effect became worthwhile. I don't drink it to get high (I choose beer or something stronger for that). I drink it because it is very refreshing.
Nope, really it doesn't. Drinks with different alcohol proofs have different effects on the body, because the rate of absorption into the bloodstream factors in with time and volume consumption. Take into account roughly 10% of alchohol is expelled through breath and urine, 10 cans of jolly shandy will never have the effect of a single can of Tiger. It's less noticeable with higher proof liquors of course.
