i'm not sure if this had been discussed or not.
or does any1 even bother abt it. coz i'm bothered lol

ok i saw tis ad at places like malls, 7-11, signs at the top of the taxi etc...
its the jolly shandy drink.

wat reli disturb me is tat it states at the bottom,
'non - alcoholic drink category'

but ah... it contains 0.5% alcohol.

does tis rule ever bein understood at the first place?
i mean like ok, they promoted it so well,non alcohol etc... can muslims drink it?

Jolly Shandy contains less than 0.5 per cent alcoholic content and is therefore officially classified as a 'non-alcoholic drink' as defined in Singapore's Sale of Food Act, (Chapter 283, Section 56(1)) Food Regulations.
Under sub-section 184 (1) of the Act, it clearly states that 'the term 'non-alcoholic' shall be reserved only for those products which contain not more than 0.5% (v/v) alcohol at 20°C'.

I've tried them all. The lychee one is yuck. The Peach and Original are very nice. I have some in my fridge right now!

Re: alcohol content, although it is very low, you can still feel the effect of it very subtly, though you won't get drunk unless you drink many litres of it. Ten cans of it is equivalent to one can of Tiger.
