Yap humbuckers for me. The crunch box used to too dark for my 'buckers IMO but after i sent it in for the version 2 mod (with internal presence control - turn it up to increase presence and reduce 'boominess') it's so much better. And he adjusted the volume taper so it's not so extreme... v1 could blow an amp if you hit the vol knob by accident!

My EQ pedal is also an important component of my dirt sounds especially when using other amps... either for boosting or for tone shaping.

Hey dude u might not want that cs3 in that loop unless u are ready for noise..or a good mod.. its a very noisy pedal IMO.. get a mxr.. shld do a better job.. :wink:

Its only noisy if you don't watch that Sustain knob. IMO, its not meant to be pass 1 oclock.
