Your complete set up

gd stuff man ... always cool to have a gf willing to help us paint our gear.

having passed on my H20 to neuro ... i realised that i have no "ambience" effects to soften my sound. Im spoilt for choice in the OD/Dist department. but i dont even have a delay .... gonna put my jap BF2 into the loop once i decide if i wanna get some A/B looping done for my setup as i rarely mix modulation with my overdriven sounds.

any good delay pedals to recomend? .... i heard a ibanez tonelok? plastic looking one that sounded really sweet... dunno the model.

this one?

well obviously i'll recommend the Echo Park. can try it at Citymusic.

3 models (tape, analog, digital), sounds good, no noise, rugged as hell, great functions, the bypass sounds ok to me but i'm not picky on that. and i simply love the way tap tempo is done with the line 6 tonecore series... can set the tempo anytime, even when the pedal is not activated.

problems... there's a noticeable volume boost when it's activated (deal breaker for quite a few people). it's heavy as hell. knobs are pretty small and look fragile.

ChanMin, do note, the DE7's echo has the same "short-comings" as the H20... the level of "reverb" (since echo is like delay + reverb) is not adjustable. While it works out well for people who like very wet tones, it can muddy up realllllly easily, and the only thing you can do is to the lower the level of Echo as a whole.

Woah chanmin im getting the hot british at the end of the year! Hi-5!
Anyway my set up.

Guitar->Gcb-95->Ts-9->Ts-7(not always in efx chain)->MIJ Ds-1->MIJ Ce-2->de-7->Line 6 Flextone III.

I know all not true bypass. Tone really gets sucked..I need to take a look at loopers and true bypass boxes too.. But that'll have to wait till end of the year. heh

Chanmin you ahbeng lah.

Ok lah to be honest the gold PG looks pretty good. Zng the frets to gold also lor. Then change the knob also, the strap lock also. Must wear gold blingbling on stage also.

guys,

how do your amp take to the pedals? i m really keen to find out
esp about how modelling amps such as line6 take to pedals...

gigged with a line 6 spider 2. i was ready to hate it but suprisingly it took my pedals pretty well, set to the clean channel and set to flat eq. i was impressed.

A line6 Flextone III can take pedals very well. :P

heck, a Tech21 GT2 into that amp's jazz clean setting sounded so much better than its drive emulations.

Why do u need pedal when u already have an amp with efx,OD etc...

The Flextone got good stuffs going on in there.Stay away from the Spider...

Requires lots of tweaking! It takes pedals well though most of the time im using the flextone III with pedals. But its 4 channels so can its kinda flexible. Some settings i really dont like.Dual react with mesa boogie cab with V30s. Way too bassy. Tried other amp types with the mesa cab v30 too bassy and muddy too.. Guess need to tweak more! hope that helps
