Hi to all.
i was there, with my friend Ajay, from 5pm till the very last band.
wow, i reely saw some gd gd bands.
a few things though that i wanna share with you guys/gals.
1) Guitar Volume.
honestly, as of 7 pm onwards, there were a few bands that i reely cldn't hear, with regards to the guitar. i had this urge to run up to them and tell them. but somehow, i dunnoe. i was standing right at the back. behind the judges, behind the registration counter. reely cldn't hear. feel reely sorry for the concerned bands. if they only knew.
2) the last band hoo-haa.
i have to say, the last band were reely unlucky. they came 20 mins before their supposed slot(they were actually early), but were told that they had to go up to the stage immediately to play their song. i think its cos either certain bands din come or the time estimation done by those who were concerned, were way off shot. but i reely enjoyed the song. it sounded quite empty without a drummer. i was moved by the speech that the vocalist gave before they performed. man, his voice is solid. reely a pity how things turned out and all.
3) reely gd bands..
there were a few bands that caught my eye.
1) the band who had 2 vocalists, a male and a female. they performed an original song which had the words 'how unlucky can a boy/girl be'. super deep lyrics. beautiful performance.
2) another band which was fronted by a female vocalist. she was playin the acoustic guitar too. she was wearing a black top and a denim skirt. solid voice, great performance.
3) a band that had the word 'silver' in their name. very alternative. very gd performance. the singer wore a black coat and a cap. his voice was very deep. great performance. he was probly one of the few singers to make full use of the space stage around him.
4) another band who did a solid soundcheck as a whole and then they played their song. the singer was wearing a long sleeved buttoned shirt and 3/4s'. damn funky, at times, heavy. used the space stage to good effect.
5) another band. man, they were solid. they played 'bad religion' by Godsmack. their faces were painted. Sully Urna wld definitely be impressed.
6) and of cos, the last band of the night. like i mentioned, it was just pure bad luck.
all the best to the bands that made it.
will definitely be heading down to support you guys.

yeah i felt alot of the bands rocked out that day, there was this band b4 us i think, they played some kind of groovy dance like music, sounded very club music but the ambience was awesome. haha.
anyway, anybody got any vids of their bands at asian beats?

haha. saiman is great. he's like a brother-teacher. he's his usual self la. hahaha. think nothing's wrong. didn't get to hear you play! muz have missed a good show. heard that you guys played spain? one of my favs from chick corea.
