Wow.

at first glance, somehow it make me think that its a bass guitar. But v nice instrument, just that it looks so nice, i think i wont play it hehe.

But price wise, it looks ok for wat u are getting

The sound clip sounds alot like a sitar, and for such a nice guitar, i hope that the pup they put in there are the gd kent armstrongs pup, not the korean made ones

Why would you think that the pups would be a korean made one? I mean... this guitar is handmade and the woods used at top notch - I doubt the guy would pull of some... stunt like that. The whole thing screams boutique quality.

Thats really killer looking stuff man.

Looks like Cow is going for the kill on gettin himself a guitar that elevates his "soft.com" status to " godlike " :D

Aiyah... nano... no lah... I'm just looking at 2 basic designs...

A USACG parts fretless... single humbucker, fixed bridge.

A 7 string Soloway Swan.

For the fretless, it will be, well, fretless at first... and if I really can't dig it, then I'll ask Malcolm to fret it. So its like... I don't have to fret over the lack of frets since I can easily just fret the frets on when I get overwhelmed by the fret-less concept. Bwahaha

have you been talking to my friend pathien???????????

Very Pretty guitar there! tho I'm currently going tru a headless phase, the headstock of this guitar is elegant. Nice. Yup the construction is very much like a variation of the Alembic bass using composite woods. The bridge design is interesting design choice of the acoustic/hollow body type which does impart a distinct tonal character to the body construction and fretless tonality.

Like most basses constructed using composite woods the tone of this guitar would be expected to be "musical mid' focused with rounded low end and highs... sweet sounding basically. The interesting twist to this guitar's design is using bolt on neck joint instead of of neck tru body. The initial attack of the note would be slightly snappier in a good way I guess. I can imagine that this would make it an ideal instrument for intimate musical arrangements.

Nice!

there is this custom made rectractable frets guitar. forgot where i see liao.

I saw it before too, but its costs $5k USD or something. And I'm not interested in having retractable frets unless they can ensure that refretting will not be a pain.

Actually, I posted this just for look/see purposes. I never thought of considering exotic woods in the construct of my guitar. Reason being - the cost and the overly extravagant looks... I just want a guitar that's quality and can take the knocks.

Well, this guitar is a jazz tool... so intimate - yes sir!

+1 for a soloway 7 ... i just tried Adamqlw's

the 27" scale just makes the whole 7 string come to life man ... the 7 string's playability and tone was very very memorable. The low B has got Good tension ... no flubby bass strings here. and somehow the treble strings arent hard to play on despite the scale length...

with distortion it pwned la...
