Which wah pedal is a value for money???

definitely check out the 2nd hand market. New wah pedals are quite expensive. Most common wah would be dunlop crybaby. If u can score a used 1 for maybe 130range, wouldnt be a bad thing to do. Coincidentally haha, Im selling my wah for $145, dunlop Dimebag DB-02 wah. Can come my place to test if ur interested.

Cheers

if your sharp..

if your sharp you can scored vox v847 wah's brand new for $104 bucks..

don't be fooled, these wahs are awesome.

there's in an internal trimpot that can be adjusted should you find it to have too much treble at higher volumes

You know, there are tons of wahs that people say are good. You should just go try them out.

i think stock wah pedals, between the regular Vox and the regular Crybaby, the Vox is better.

BUT if you have money, any RMC wah is better than the rest.

Wah pedals are one of those pedals that MOJO components makes a difference. RMC got the MOJO.

The BYOC wah is really great value for money...i might want to sell mine.....to fund a cable purchase:D....if you're interested, msg me and i'll tell u all about it

cheers
Sid

HAHAHA..... now now... lets not get touchy feely here....

I know you know already but for the benefit of those who don't.

Inductor based wah kinda circuits depends heavily on the type of inductor used. And inductors are one of those kinda things that you can't pop by Sim Lim or Ang Mo Kio to buy one. Inductors for wahs are mostly custom made or "custom made" for the manufacturers application.

Without the right inductor... NO MOJO.

As for other circuits... bah... you bloody cork sniffers....

i'm not trying to split hairs here but i hear (tonal) differences between pot-based wahs & their optics counterparts, so i'm gonna recommend 2 here:

for the traditionalist:

for those who don't mind the technology & embraces tone:

i'm using a gcb-95 crybaby.. does the job, but could be better.. the tone sucking can actually be ignored most of the time, although at times it can be an annoyance.. i got it for $120 2nd hand, so it was quite a value-for-money piece of equipment.

hey sub, can you elaborate on the artec wah? it actually seems very interesting. is it worth selling a crybaby to use that? is it only carried by ebenex?

hi bro- as usual, i'm a little behind on the Artec Wah review...

anyway, this wah is pot-free, shouldn't bother those who aren't component purists because the tone is very appealing. in terms of sweep, the range is rather broad for something bearing a 'vintage' tag.

if you love your current wah, this isn't something to die for but it's definitely value for money in terms of tone. ebenex (you'd do well to grab a bargain from them as they are having an 'óffer us your best price' promo going on...) is the main distributor for Artec stuff but Beez has some in stock as well.
