ACA boss pedals might work with a normal 12V adaptor. I used to run a Taiwan CE-2 "okay" on a daisy chained regulated 9V as reported by the guy on the website.

Multiple 1-spots or appropriate adaptor on power strip daisy chain setup:
+ configurable for varying voltage and centre polarities
- no isolation for each daisy chain output
- no power surge, short protection unless you run it from a power strip with surge protection
Dunlop DC Brick:
+ protection against power surge, shorts
- centre -ve only
7x9V, 3x18V
Pedal Power 2:
+ individually isolated outputs
+ power short, surge protection
+ works with both centre -ve and centre +ve pedals
+ quiet (and expensive) toroidal transformer
- 240V version for asia/europe only, can't take it with you for that US tour =p
9x9V, or combine 2 for 18V
Why bother with power surge protection? Power surge at venue with dodgy wiring fried the transformer on my amp once. And for those of you who have tube amps, you'll know that the transformer is the most expensive bit of the amp + the tone changes once you replace the stock part. Same precaution with frying pedals.
