where to buy voodoo lab pedal power 2 plus?

okay, i try pluggin in each individual pedal to listen. and the result is the same. strange thing is whenever i turn down the guitar volume, the hum get louder and i feel a bit of a electric shock or maybe i guess i got more statics in my body.

the most loudest hum occured in my 1st pedal CS-1 which is actually like 24-28 year old. the hum is very very obvious i mean loud when engaged. the 2nd pedal SD-1 is slightly softer than CS-1. and lastly, the DM2 is the least noisy when engaged but you still are able to hear the hum. other than that, all pedals when not engaged gives a slight hum but will become obvious if engaged.

bro edder, you mean to buy a new one or can i exchange a better one at guitar77? or if it's my pedals problem, do you think getting a noise suppressor helps? thanks.

yep, i did try with batteries and it's silent for all 3. i think the power supply mainly affect the compressor and overdrive pedals. the delay pedal had only a subtle hum but not as obvious as the rest.

hmm.... another one of the one spot issues. I thought they have iron out the "electric" shock issues.

I do own 2 pieces of variable Switch Mode power supplies that looks exactly like a OneSpot but with variable power. It gives me shocks too.

You may wanna check with this setup at G77 with another onespot and see if it works. If not, then maybe onespot is not for your setup after all.

just my .ooo cent. Iam guessing the hum might not be from the one spot, but more on boss pedals. Seem like older version of boss pedals(in this case, cs-1 and dm-2) might need its own aca adaptor, from here

So far for the 3 one spot iam using(1 older version at 1000mA and 2 at 1700mA) its been pretty ok for powering up various different brands/type of pedals. Only thing is none of it are from 80s..

Oh if you're using the older Boss pedals which require ACA power, all you need to do is a very simple mod to turn them into normal PSA type.

Yea, send your old boss pedals to blueark for the mod. It may cure your problems once and for all.

DIY if you can, I wouldn't know how much to charge for a mod like this lol.

Here's an old ACA DS1 for example:

That's it.

i guess 1spot doesn't really work well with old boss pedals. well, it's back to good old batteries..thanks guys.

hey man, I got the same problem with you. Maybe your 1spot really spoilt.

I have two 1spot adapters. One is working fine to power my boss pedal (it's a DS1). The other one is causing a loud hum. Maybe you can bring your pedal and try to swap your 1spot with another one in the shop if possible.

hi guys, thanks for all the suggestions. i did a research on what kind of power supply can be used for those old boss pedals and i found one! it's a boss psm-5 power supply pedal. i bought one off ebay last week and it arrived today. tested it and everything works, no hum at all. perfectly silent haa :D
