WTF!! So what is this govt mouthpiece (ie. ST) indirectly trying to tell us? The unwritten messages I get are:

(i) It seems our govt somehow know they will never find Mas Selamat again.
(ii) The govt wants the public to eventually forget their boo boo.
(iii) And the fault mainly lies with the detention guards, as mentioned before by you-know-who.
(iv) But before they let the matter fade away from the public minds, they have to give themselves a pat on the back and remind us what a good job they had done previously.

Sorry to rant, but it just smells of typical govt's PR here.

The Superintendent of WDC caused undue hardship to the entire country, caused loss of millions of dollars due to the jams at the causeway that hindered trade and utilised a large number of personnel in the hunt.

And all this because this Superintendent of WDC couldn't communicate with a contractor on the need for window grilles. And then he sawed off the window handle to fix the problem. And he would also likely know of the situation with the CCTV and left it as such.

I say this guy deserves to be removed from his post.

I find it so unbelieveable man, like i wasted my time reading the report, i mean, the conclusion was "he planned to escape" DUH!
