Sounds unbelieveable but today when I was passing thru Harbourfront mrt station, I saw someone in a cap, resembling him and walking with a limp and looking kinda suspicious...so I didn't wanna take any chances and informed the mrt security. They then got more security fellas to head down the mrt platform to check it out. I didn't stay long enuff to see what happened next tho :neutral:

Anyway, sorry ta that fella if he's not Selemat :lol:

If that man you saw was really Mas, it should be all over the news by now. Maybe you can get good citizen award some more! lol.

But yeah, it's good that everyone keeps a lookout for Mas. He could be anywhere.

This is the probably the easiest senario:

Reality : He died during interrogation.

Story: He escapes. Might be in the city. Few days later - government says he might be in jungle. Set up search teams.

Reality: Body transferred to jungle.

Story: The guy dies from severe dehydration/ malnutrition from the lockdown in the jungle by the government.

Reality: No independent autopsy reports to substantiate this claim.

Story: All state government media proclaims a victory for the government. Hailing it's efficient handling of the crisis - thus proving their credentials again. Autopsy never mentioned.

Been watching too many movies? Hardly. Every bit a possible senario. Now just need a a few more days or weeks to substantiate the news that he died from malnutrition. We've seen the worse of governments when they are out to protect their agenda. Look no further than US.

Well, he was there for a year, thats a long period, loads of planning could have been done..

I think he probably had someone on the inside to get him out, and is now either staying somewhere safe like his fellow JI-ians house (until everything dies down).. or in another country already..

If he was in the forest they probably found him by now, and he wouldnt be risking shit walking around malls and mrt stations..

All this is of course, if he didnt get tortured to death!

i think the mistake they made was detaining him in the same facility for too long, such that he managed to devise escape plans based on all-too-familiar surroundings.

Well I'm sue that they could have come up with much more plausible and less damaging excuses to cover up his death than claiming that he escaped. I can think of several excuses just at the top off my head. Even claiming that they shot him while trying to escape is much better than not being able to recover him at all.

Even if it was a cover up... it has already taken far too long to locate him or his corpse.
