Just tot I'd do a bit of research....

From wiki: No-frills or no frills is a term used to describe any service or product for which the non-essential features have been removed

So, based on this, when it concerns getting/buying gear, what does 'no-frills' means to you?

thankies in advance :)

dang! no comments so far.
Maybe I should re-phrase the question...

When it concerns buying gear (specifically guitars; be it pre-owned or brand new), what does no-frills mean to you? (eg. without straps/bags/cables; limited or no product warranty, ..etc)

To put it in another way
What do you expect for a 'no-frills' purchase?

A penny for your thoughts, a dollar for your <<insert witty answer here>> :)

No-frills basically means using what you need, and forgoing what you don't. At least that's the way I look at it. :p

In singapore context

In gear context

no frills- Fender stock, boss pedals,

In soft context

no frills- cant sell much, asking to be low balled, no tone, no music

A restaurant that doesn't require you to use a napkin.

A piece of gear that doesn't require excessive maintenance.

* i should really bring my van for checkup soon

I always equate "no-frills" to budget airlines, rather than gear. From my experience......

Air Asia, Jetstar = no frills

Tiger Airways = plain #@*% bad service!

No frills = a guitar without
