USB Mixers

I'm thinking of setting up my own home studio and came across alot of good products and tips online.

But no one really answered this question: ' whats the diff between USB mixers and regular ones that go through the audio interface.'

I remember the guy at sinamex telling me something about signals but can't remember exactly...

it is like monitor speakers with built in amplifiers.

while it can make your connection/setup easier, there's always this other school of thought of component system is better.

or is it the other way round? ha..ha..ha...

but really, the USB mixer is basically a mixer with an USB audio interface.

usb output present means that there is a A/D converter in the mixer already which converts the analog signals to digital and outputs them thru the usb port. Good for computer recording. Saves you having to buy a soundcard.
