Hey guys , i need a credit card . And i'm only 15 . The reason i need credit cards is because i wanna buy things online , coz its cheaper i guess? I tried to borrow my sis , but her card is not applicable paypal or ebay payments . Well , i asked my parents if that do have one , but none . They dont like credit cards . :(

So do you guys know any company that can have kids uses credit cards?I reallly need one , my own one .

Thanks !

debit card

POSB debit card shld be ok for u.. credit card uses future money so its not wise for u at tis age to own 1.. whereas POSB debit card uses the money inside ur current bank acc.. plus u can purchase things online with it too..

hope tis helps..

not a deposit. just take a form and fill it up. i have one. but u have to be 16 to be eligible. it's $18/yr for card fee. but there will be 3 years waiver of fees. subsequently, if u want the card to remain free, just have to sign 18 mastercard transactions within a year and the fees will be automatically waived.

I dont understand about the waiver thingy ? lol .

i'm sure your parents started a savings account for u when u were still a kid..
now its time to use that account..

with the bankbook, go to the bank and say u wan to apply for a ATM card, at the same time.. u wan a debit card.. as simple as that..

or u can fill up the form and drop it in their "mailbox" and they will mail u the card, but queuing up gives u the card immediately..

if your parents didn't start a account for u, u have to start one yourself... u have to have a minimum deposit of $200? i not too sure.. but confirm not $1000..

to have a ATM card, no age limit.
to have a debit card, u need to be at least 16.

hope i've helped..

There are credit cards for youngsters but their credit limit are very low.Might be as low as $500.

Also might want to buy strings in bulk online but no credit card.About the same age as distorted, mind giving more details about this credit card Dime? Thanks in advance :)

Sometimes buy online really cheaper, haha.Don't worry,I wont overspend one,buy strings online only (:

Dont think you can overspent with credit limit of $500.You should stop by a local bank and get more info.I just happen to know that this service exist.

Oh not to forget that looking into the current recession, interest rates on credit cards might be as high as 30%.so consider your options.

Not too sure about Underage Credit Cards. But should be around those figures.

Think still stick with a debit card is still better. At least you only spend what you have.
That's why I either use cash or Nets. So I don't overspend

Not that I have much to spend in the first place. Wallet never has more that $20. LOL!!

i dont even use nets. i have a POSB debit card and i sign whenever possible, since it helps me fulfil the minimum number of charges thing. and it also looks more pro than fiddling with coins when paying for stuff, but looking pro should NOT be a factor

you should restrict yourself as to when you consider a credit card necessary. the only thing i can imagine is for making use of interest free instalment plans. credit card debt sucks.

i had this card since i was 18 or 19. now i am 23. as long as you have a bank a/c you can apply. i dont think bank a/c got age limit. for debit card im not sure. does it have fee waiver for under 21s? i cant remember

i have used it to sign for overseas purchases, and for paypal. it makes me a happier man

posb go card i think online transactions cannot. overseas im not sure. but if you can apply for GO i dont see why debit card cannot
