L lightice New member Jun 23, 2009 #2 And once removed, what's going to go in their place? The only viable method is to replace the fingerboard or to replace the neck altogether. Gr3y can do this, but i'd think its costly due to work/material involved. Contact him for a better estimate.

Perhaps liquid aluminium or some funky lipstick colors.
